Not a good test at all if the eride is pinned at full power and they match speed with the mx5. Mx5 is a faster bike but if you’re not at full speed it’ll last longer , if they had the talaria 📌 at max speed it wouldn’t even be close
And hey! A general rule of thumb is about 30wh/km or call it 50wh/mile then just divide your battery wh by these figures, those figures are a combination of city crusing range add or subtract a bit maybe for your average watt hours per distance!

in my opinion the talaria is just better quality overall.For example i've seen pople complain about the shocks on the eride pro ss, not lasting long. also i think than not having a belt makes the talaria more reliable

You guys should make a video comparing a slightly upgraded sting r to a stock mx5 and another video idea would be the mx5 with a 16 inch rear tire and stuff
only con for talarias is their weight. I own an mx4 and have it almost fully built. its just a tank, the eride pro on the other hand is very light. Im happy with my bike I do just wish it was lighter
Just bought my road legal Mx4 brand new, last week, I've only done 26miles and already can't wait to trade it in for a Mx5 when they make a road legal one. Ain't wasting no money on mods when I can just wait and get the MX5. Great video gents

wow, really puts into perspective how little range these things get. was thinking of grabbing one as a toy but my homebuilt p-51 ebike easily delivers 75 miles at 50mph with 43A charigng to boot, so without a major battery upgrade I guess this isn't for me
This how I felt before I got the mx4. The battery last about 2.5 hours on the fire trails and single tracks. Which is about how long I want to ride for anyways. Think you should go for it. It’s the most fun I’ve had on a bike since I was a kid dirt jumping my haro bmx bike. Just my 2 cents and life story 😂
Coming from gas bikes I totally understand your complaints but to echo the other comment these things are in a class of their own, torque and performance wise. Highly suggest testing it out.
Great stuff guys! I'm guessing that you haven't gotten any buy-in from the folks at Arctic Leopard. My understanding is that their ranges are setting the standard. Perhaps they have a different marketing target. The guys at Charged Cycles did a range test which actually included a gasser and the Arctic Leopard continued to shine even then...just sayin it might be worth including them in your testing. Range is huge for everyone.
Love these videos but if you could for future tests please list the battery for each of these bikes that you tested. Surron has had 32ah, 34ah, 38ah, and now 40ah batteries so that greatly impacts range. Please tell us what battery is used in these bikes! Can't wait for more bike tests! Falcon M Pro next maybe?

You told us...but you didn't tell us the eRide was yesterday's news concerning parts. The eRide lacks throttle regeneration, a stronger swing arm, wider spacing of the forks, larger forks, and a Gear Box.

How much do you weigh? And that weather will make the range a bit worse, are you stopping and starting often with stop lights or corners? That makes a big difference

Its fine just don't let it sit as below 5% for a while, take it home and charge it right away. Riding that low is just fine, we do it all the time on all our bikes.
I have one fully stock. I weigh around 225ish I get about 55 to 60 miles I usually don’t go below 20-35% charge but the math always works out to just under 60 miles per charge. I ride mostly eco mode and all street/sidewalk
Crusing in town or going downhill would have better range if the motor would charge battery from regen breaking, but as far as I know, none of these bikes charge battery when regen, which is sort of wired design. I was able to see in YT videos of Ventus One, that regen break Use, was showing a minus power on the display. I do hope this negative power is charge power, that is delivered back to battery.
Every single e bike that has regen is charging the battery but regen just doesn’t even charge it enough to notice any gain in battery percentage. But that’s how regen works… it has to have a place for the power the to which is into the battery

This is our 2nd E-Ride, we have another one with 1500 miles, and we have a lot of other bikes that we ride and test so the miles really get spread around.

Stiffing up them suspensions help ! Also to do a all round test. All u need to do is 30% battery 35 to 50mph and the rest the battery in echo mode 😉

Check again. There's a few powersports dealerships in Ontario that sell the Surron lineup. Dewildt powersports is one. They have a few.

This internals of the batteries are identical so there shouldn't be any different from the recall battery, and your new one.

It’s the gear system on talarias vs belt drives in surrons/ eride. Those gear boxes are hefty
