- On August 31st, 2022, at exactly 8:22 AM, @segahardlight posted a teaser for their mobile game "Sonic Forces Speed Battle" on their Twitter account. Said teaser teased the return of Darkspine Sonic from the 2007 hit Nintendo Wii game, "Sonic and the Secret Rings."
As expected, we all got hyped up for the return of this beloved (yet obscure) character after nearly two decades. The accumulated hype was shown in the form of a Twitter thread. The thread in question was filled with many Sonic fans singing along to the main theme of the game, "Seven Rings in Hand," by Steve Conte.
Today, you get to witness history in the making. Legends are blurred and torn after all...🔥🔥

Despite it’s repetition throughout the game, you can’t ignore the fact that this is a kickass song.
Agreed. Still, I feel the song would have really hit if it was just an instrumental for everything in the game EXCEPT the final boss.
Aside from the sonic context, it feels like something that'd play in a rock climbing centre.
And it's turning me on
Any sonic game, be it good or bad, never fails at delivering some of the best video game music for any generation.

When you realize this theme was overused in that one game, Green Hill was through the entire game serie, Seven rings in hand was through the whole game for nearly everything

@@battra2508 Thats usually normal for Sonic..Usually the main theme is simpified into well like you said the 'intro' the 'level select' and use the theme for the final boss.
The newer games no longer do that anymore but yeah.
dude this song was so epic during the final boss, and in some of the levels, and during the score screen, and during the level select... and during the wii select menu

Sonic was so badass in that final scene, yet such a gentleman. Dude gave Erazor what he deserved, but shows sympathy for Sharah and just gives the gentleman equivalent of saying "Cry about it." Jason Griffith will always be my favorite Sonic.
The fact that Giorno with the Stand arrow wasn't used for the "arrowed hearts catch fire now" kills me.

I recently played through the seven rings and I found majority of the game to be average or unfortunately bad (ESPECIALLY most of the bosses except the first Erazor Djinn boss). But this song greeting me at the end of every level kept me from just giving up on the game.

This game could be good.
I mean the only aspect that's terrible is gameplay (well, the story isn't too great either but not terrible) so I say it all that needs is normal controls that actually allows you to use a tiny biny little thingy called *COMMON SENSE* and *A CONTROLLER*.
They made it work in Black Knight (a game I still don't like due to being Wii-mote too heavy as I never liked gimmicks, no matter if it's Quick-Time Events, SIXAXIS, touchpad interaction or whatever other bull) so I'm really wondering how this game could do if it had a chance for a remake.
Or at least a remaster.

I've grinded to level 89
I have a love/hate relationship with Sonic and the Secret Rings: the parts I loved about it got me itching for more, but the things I hate make me not want to touch it again. I never even beat the game because it has by far the worst final boss in the series--which is odd because it's sequel, Sonic and the Black Knight has what I'd consider to be the best final boss in the series.
