Meditation to Uncover Your Hidden Beliefs

  • We don’t get what we want - we get what we believe. Beliefs are powerful drivers of our thinking and our behaviors. Yet, many of these beliefs we hold are subconscious. This means we are often unaware of the underlying belief structures that influence our actions and, consequently, the outcomes in our lives. These beliefs can be problematic if they lead to maladaptive behaviors that do not align with your goals and desires. This belief-reframing practice aims to help you uncover, assess, and then recalibrate and update your beliefs. You can apply this practice whenever you feel that your actions are not aligned with your goals and you need to uncover and change those hidden and non-adaptive beliefs that might be driving your actions and choices.
    This practice is part of the Mindfulness-Based Strategic Awareness Training (MBSAT) developed by Juan H. Young (2023).
