    You should honestly buy lotto tickets on the reg. I’ve never seen this kind of luck out in the wild haha. My Dad has a whole bunch of old German steins in his basement when he was over there for work back in the day. Wonder if they are worth anything.

    Congratulations on that great find. I keep an eye out for sterling and watch videos on how to identify sterling when there are no hallmarks. Some people can actually identify sterling by smelling it. You did find a very rare piece, almost all sterling found in the US is marked sterling. Sometimes you have to hunt for the marking but it's usually there. I've never even found a piece marked "coin." Still, I've found some amazing things at estate sales and I live on that high until my next find.

    How did you make out with the tankard? It could have been made in the late 1800's in the German city of Hanau after the style of a 1700's English tankard. Possibly 800 silver or sterling. If it were colonial American, it would be worth $50,000.

    You should pick up an acid testing kit, so you can test yourself. If you use 18k gold acid to test silver it should come up milky white and not eat it away.

    Did my video on finding sterling help?

  • @OhmegadJT
    @OhmegadJT ปีที่แล้ว

    I’m confused, maybe it depends on the chemicals but isn’t the color of the solution supposed to change to red if it’s silver?

    • @kreesky
      @kreesky  ปีที่แล้ว

      You are correct. What he meant by not changing was it was staying a solid red color on the stone.

    I find sliver like this a lot…when you say it’s “2 pounds” did you actually weigh it? Or is that just a guess? I find when selling sterling it has to be an extremely well known/reputable maker, for it to be worth much more than spot….I just melted down 5 sterling serving platters….tried selling for more than spot, and had almost no bites. People just aren’t into antiques like they used to be. But on the plus side, I now have a half kilo silver bar in my metal stack lol

    gonna keep an eye out for silver tankers now...maybe i can find one and it could be a "collectors luck" moment for me too

    I'm 1000+ miles away from you, saw the stein in the video, and I knew it was silver by the look of it. What nefarious acts are you up to with that flipper zero?

    • @donniedarko7751
      @donniedarko7751 ปีที่แล้ว

      The use of a flipper doesn't have to be for malicious activity. Lots of makers find legitimate uses for them.

      On God he chasing I can tell just the way he pulls stuff out even with the pokemon games you see how dry it was we he did the pokemon cause he already knew just like he knew the Ribbit King was behind the Mario game this dude has a good channel he's better than this 💯

    • @donniedarko7751
      @donniedarko7751 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, I think most stuff he does isn't staged but this episode clearly is. Some of his shows are just bad. The ones that are gold are the ones where he is being genuine.
