As a Da’ee It is considered Hustling Backwards to try and teach the people about the Suluk, Akhlaq, Adaab, & Characteristics of the Salaf without first teaching and implementing the pre-requisite for that.
Which is At Tawhīd, Monotheism. Learning what it means to be a humble, helpless, needy Slave of Allāh, learning the acts of worship and directing them towards Allāh عز وجل alone such as (fear, hope, love, awe, dread, longing, dua, istigatha, ist’ianah, etc.) and making these for Allāh alone.
Tawhīd is the origin in which souls are purified from lusts, desires, extravagance, ingratitude, envy, malice, etc.
Shirk is the origin in which Allāh is not glorified, the creation is magnified more than him, the material, whims, and desires is magnified and glorified more than him. Minor Hypocrisy and minor Shirk are the reasons for the ills of the Muslims.
Through learning Tawhīd Allāh is glorified and magnified in the hearts, distancing the nafs from disobedience, sin and negligence.
The Qur’an from cover to cover is an invitation to Tawhid and a warning against Shirk. None of that is explained in this video.
These are fleeting benefits that are momentarily heard or understood and no one really acts to make a change because the heart is not purified enough for it
