The difference is, Burnie makes understandable sentences that make sense but are just plain incorrect, whereas Gavin makes incomprehensible sentences that are technically correct.

Contact burns remove water from cells and denature proteins and organelles.
What does a star have that gives off radiation while a campfire doesnt? Fuel type? Magnitude?

@@benhigginbotham8158 Stars and campfires both give off radiation, but the energies are very different. A star gives off radiation from the radio, microwave, infrared, visible, ultraviolet (which causes sunburn), and x-ray parts of the spectrum. A campfire gives off visible light and infrared (which can cause burns through touch or proximity).

Also, no Burnie, a campfire is not a tiny star. A star, by definition, is massive enough to facilitate nuclear fusion in its core. I doubt nuclear fusion is occurring in your campfire.

It’s possible to get burned from a campfire if you sit close enough. Just.. not sunburned.
Technically you can get the same sort of effect as a sunburn by sitting close to a campfire for a long time.
Essentially you are just cooking yourself.
The sun emits UV rays which are the cause of tanning, but the heat from the sun is what causes the burns and just "cooked" feeling.
A campfire has very low UV rays so you wouldn't get tan but you can definitely get that "cooked" feeling.
So Burnie was sorta correct.
but a campfire uv radiation is so little that your body heals faster then the uv can damage not to mention a sun is basically a fusion reactor

u can't get a sunburn from a campfire, but you can gain associative knowledge from comparing the experiences of being in the sun and being next to a campfire
