Kelly Gallagher, President's Alumni Award Winner

  • Ms. Gallagher spent much of her engineering career at Northrop Grumman, retiring in 2020 after 38 years of service that included leading teams designing and developing components for aircraft and spacecraft. Ms. Gallagher graduated from NAU in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. She went on to earn a master’s degree and her Professional Engineer license. She endowed a scholarship at NAU to support other women interested in studying in the male-dominated engineering field. Ms. Gallagher established a scholarship through the NAU Foundation to support women engineering student leaders. She donates her time as a judge for the Undergraduate Symposium and serves on the College of Engineering, Informatics, and Applied Sciences (CEIAS) Advisory Board. She was a keynote speaker for NAU’s STEM conference and lends her expertise to the CEIAS’ Women Taking Charge Program.
