  • For the past 46 years, Jenny Zamora-Garcia has been dedicated to the dental health profession in private practice and public health settings. As a public health hygienist for the past 31 years, she coordinated and facilitated dental programs across northern Arizona, working to expand access to dental services to underserved populations, especially children. She is known as the Flagstaff Tooth Fairy for the costumes she wears to keep kids’ attention when she teaches them about oral hygiene. In 2022, the Arizona Daily Sun named her the Female Flagstaff Citizen of the Year. Her numerous other accolades include winning the Northern Arizona Oral Health Hero Award and the National Public Service Recognition Award. She supports student success programs and Lumberjack student-athletes through gifts to the NAU Foundation, served on the Dental Hygiene Advisory Board, is active in the Flagstaff Alumni Chapter, and is a volunteer and mentor through the Alumni Association and the College of Health and Human Services.
