    I think every rock guitarist has that "one badass Marshall" Story. ... that's what they are meant to do... tell a story. Great vid, on a MONSTER Amp.

      Dude, for sure. Through all of Rock history! This thing is a beast! I’m so glad I picked it up!

    Like the amp And I like you’re playing

    I think this light be the best sounding amp on the channel!! Maybe. I have a soft spot for 5150/6505s. But the mids and overall tone of the Marshall gain structure seems very pleasant and this is the best Marshall amp available currently!

    • @tyrannosaurusriffs
      @tyrannosaurusriffs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you might be right. It’s so flexible. I really do have a soft spot for anything 5150 related but it’s nice to mix it up lately. This is definitely a pleasant sounding amplifier!!

    You already know why I’m hear, the OD channels. This is my favorite amp of allll tiiiimme

    • @tyrannosaurusriffs
      @tyrannosaurusriffs  ปีที่แล้ว

      It may be mine as of now too. I still have a lot to try but clean/green, OD1/orange and OD2/red are just perfect!!!

    Strongly considering buying this amp but I'm torn between this or the jcm 800 D: Great video btw!!

    • @tyrannosaurusriffs
      @tyrannosaurusriffs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I really want to try an 800! You can pick these up for half or less if you’re willing to buy used! It was worth every penny. Thank you! I really appreciate that!

    • @UseTheSupeRsonic
      @UseTheSupeRsonic ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Don’t get the 800, you’ll be disappointed. For one, there’s not nearly as much gain as you think. Two, you gotta get that sucker LOUD to sound like anything (or you got get a second master volume installed)
      The JVM and DSL do all the things the Plexi and 800 do and then some. Far better value for the money.

    When on OD1 or OD2 push the Resonance a little bit more. My favorite amp for a decade and half now.

    I have the 210 version and love it. The reverb is OK but noise gates would have been my preference. Other than that as I said l love it.

      They’re such great amplifiers! I love mine much more than I ever would have imagined!

    I swear to god man you record the best guitar sound!! I use a JCM 2000 DSL 100w, I think you would love it, sounds a bit thicker than the JVM (got to try it at a guitar shop), closer to a very driven Plexi sound. Too bad here we don't have anything else than Marshalls 🤣 (Literally no chance to try a Dual rec, 5150, soldano or anything like that over here)

    • @tyrannosaurusriffs
      @tyrannosaurusriffs  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Shit, thanks! I appreciate that comment a ton! I have the 2000 on my wishlist but I’m holding off until I try a few more brands! I easily get sucked into one brand and go nuts. That’s why I have 5 5150’s. I should have picked a Marshall up a long time ago!

      @@tyrannosaurusriffs Hells yeah, been watching your videos ever since you started, always amazing gear and best quality on YT so I can realistically hear what an amp sounds like. 5150 sounds killer, I dig the beefiness, reminds me of Eighteen Visions, and BFMV's first record

    • @tyrannosaurusriffs
      @tyrannosaurusriffs  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Mazut0I appreciate that more than you’ll ever know! Happy that I’ve been able to keep entertaining you for a little over a year! 🤘 5150 will always have a special place in my heart. I think that’s just growing up seeing those on every stage. This has definitely been really fun to do each week!

    I also have the Marshall 410H but mine has a Choke, plexi & negative feedback control mods done to it...

    • @tyrannosaurusriffs
      @tyrannosaurusriffs  ปีที่แล้ว

      The feedback control would definitely be nice for the OD channels. How do you like the other mods?

    • @IamTheDustDevil
      @IamTheDustDevil ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@tyrannosaurusriffs The Plexi mod is on switches (ON) it makes the notes more articulate, The choke brings out more feeling & response in my playing, is the best way to describe, though many in comparison videos say there's not much difference,

    • @tyrannosaurusriffs
      @tyrannosaurusriffs  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@IamTheDustDevilI’ll do some research! That sounds interesting! I have yet to mod any amplifier, but have had my curiosities recently.

      @@tyrannosaurusriffs Here's more info about my negative feedback controls. The R58 in the resistor you replace.
      R58 = 47k -- late '60s Plexi
      R58 = 74k -- early '70s MkII Plexi
      R58 = 82k -- stock JVM
      R58 = 137k -- EVH's Plexi
      R58 = 176k -- JCM800 2203
      R58 = 177k+ -- a Marshall with almost a Vox's lack of headroom in the power amp
