Agree! I remember I my high school days back in 2004. My uncle got a record tape of this song cause this it’s very rare to find original hot & slow records in my country. When I heard this song for the first time I got feeling goosebumps!
I read your comments with interest. My daughter and I tried to capture and convey to you our awe and feelings towards this song through pictures. Its musical approach, an almost unearthing whisper triggering a river of sweet melancholic emotions, that cannot go unnoticed, haunts you. This radically unique song conveys an incomparable, sensitive sense of simplicity in its interpretation. It's not a song for everyone, and it's not a commercial song either. That's why it will remain timeless for its fans.
I'm here because I had a dream last night about traveling to a place called 'Yellow Raven Beach'. I have never been to such a place and don't know if it exists - but when I researched the name on the internet, I found this song which I have never heard of before - and found a yellow and black logo which matched the logo on the sign at the edge of the beach ( in the dream ) wow! I love the song. Now let's talk about Jungian collective consciousness. Truth is stranger than fiction!
One of mankind's few perfectly written songs. As higly praised as Scorpions are, I still feel like they are underrated. This song has it all. Percectly written, performed, and recorded.
No better way to spend a night at home alone. Smoke a little weed and listen to old Scorpions. I just takes me back to my parents basement and being 17 all over again. I'd give anything to go back in time and hear this version of the band play live, even if it's in some little basement bar somewhere.
I’am so happy and glad that all you love this great music. No way to convey this stuff to people of this day and age. Only old friends would understand that.
Masterpiece. A rock band who in 76 stayed truly European in their roots, as this magnificent composition shows. Uli is absolutely at the top of his game

That's assuming everyone loves music the way we do. Not so. Many people, possibly most, only care about music tangentially. They have no deep inner desire to be swept by the emotions that music creates. They don't feel that way for various reasons- some rather sad- that their hearing apparatus doesn't function as well as others and so they just don't experience the nuances and flow of the melodies. They can't physically hear the harmonies as intended, and so they have to pretend the clunky sounds that their ears are receiving are enjoyable. Some other"s reason for not appreciating music is temperamental. There are many humans who don't take pleasure in any art. Period. Painting, music, sculpture. Whatever the medium, they don't hardly care. In fact, they'll often voice derision at some artistic expression that they consider unsuitable,- unwarranted. Those people will often seem to have an exalted opinion of art, and present themselves as only meaning for the best- but in actuality, likely not realized by even themselves, their emotions are somewhat deadened to outside influences, especially art. Close family and religious ceremonies might shake them emotionally- hence their approval of artistic religious projects- but artwork outside of those realms they feel nothing for- except dislike and contempt. More positive of that type are probably perplexed and confused by the motives behind different artworks. Either way, their disapproval is inevitable- and not always kept to their selves. And so the dislikes. I can even hear them complaing-"and what exactly IS a yellow raven anyway?"
I first heard it at 15 years old on my Walkman. Virgin Killer cassette. I listened to it over and over for a whole week. Still haunts me with the lyrical and guitar melodies.
I love Scorpions. Have done since 1982. Their best work was with Uli. He is an incredible guitarist always. Their songs were the best written , during the Uli period.

What an intro...WHAT AN INTRO! aaaah i am being transported to some other place, some other dimension, where a gentle breeze of comfortable sadness cools my face, calms me down...
This song was always so special and dear to me. But last year it was that I realized why. I struggled with mental illness my whole life, but then it was at it's peak and honestly the suicidal thoughts had become massive(now it's better, don't worry!). But last year that evening I took a long walk at a place where there is nothing but nature for miles. No humans, no civilisation. Places like that always helped me. The sun was setting and I stood on top of a hill and looked into the burning sky and listened to this song. Wasn't on purpose, it just came up on shuffle of all of my music. And suddenly I didn't feel only that horrible despair but some kind of idk.. safety somehow. It soothed me which was sth nothing else could do at that time back than. Bc somehow I felt understood and grounded in this world, as if I had a place. Don't know how to describe it, but it was a beautiful and such healing feeling. Oc it didn't solve any of my real promblems or life circumstances, but it did something with me that day and I'm not sure if I wouldn't have sth really fucked up if that wouldn't have happened. So fucking big thanks to the Scorpions again for yet another song that helped me and influenced my life over time in such a big big way.
