An interesting approach. I will try it on a Split Second playfield I have stripped. Up to now, I have used the 555 wired socket holder and the centering attachment from Pinball Life. I was wondering if a dab of hot glue might be good to keep the LED positioned straight up?
Crimp the socket to grip the bulb(47) tighter and the add a small dab on solder on the end of the bulb. do this to all my williams 80s pins and never have a flicker problem. Use a Cointaker 5 panel ww 47 led bulb for a evenly lit bright pop bumper.
Awesome! Thanks for the excellent suggestion. Looks so much better than the "hot spots" on my pop bumper caps.
You're an absolute madman and I love it.
Great tip! I'll try this on my next game.

Great idea!!
Solid info! I'll be doing this from now on.
Transplant Surgery on the playfields. Wow!
Nice tip. I have really not had the problems you describe. In have had over 25 pins too. Good solution if someone is having this problem.
Is there a way to visually determine which leg is positive?
Very interesting! I've never seen this before
