@@thewinner7382 don’t argue but I wish Witherspoon did more dramatic film roles like Walk the Line and Mud and Wild because after winning her first Oscar she hasn’t been doing great films that showcase her acting. She just did comedy films and that kinda imo undermined her Oscar win. Her only good acting comes from her tv shows these days. Whereas Joaquin Phoenix who’s one of my favorite actors is on a new untouchable higher level that Witherspoon can never reach. He’s definitely the better actor because he never plays it safe and he disappears into his characters beautifully.

I’d give movie a 5/10. Movie would’ve been better with Ryan Reynolds. Kutcher really did nothing for the film. It was really shallow with no real development. My wife is a Hallmark Christmas Movie kind of person & we watch anything with Reese Witherspoon…she fell asleep about 30 min in, we didn’t even get to Valentine’s Day gifts. I don’t buy Reese Witherspoon as an uptight mom & Ashton Kutcher definitely doesn’t come off as a distinguished carefree playboy. It just didn’t fit. If anything, they should’ve swapped roles. Out of a 100 min movie, they are only on screen together for less than 10 min… that’s crazy. They have no real chemistry. I low key was rooting for her to end up with Jesse Williams. The movie isn’t funny, romantic, heartwarming or anything. It was just vanilla and kind of boring. I’m all for the 90’s/2000’s High Fidelity kind of film, but this didn’t even have that kind of charm. It’s crazy that the main characters spent most of the movie talking over the phone. Not even deep conversations, it was like short to-do lists. The best part of the movie was the music.

as a 44 year old dude, I enjoyed this...I thought Reese looked amazing...and always liked Ashton since that 90s show. The biggest reason I liked this movie was that it wasn't Hollywood Woke lgbtq in your face non sense... So many movies lately, I shut off after 15 mins due to their woke agenda...its annoying....but this didn't have that...also liked that the young kid played hockey....check it out, was great for a movie night with gf.

Tig steals the whole movie. I mean, it's good. But she is so deadpan, and so off-the-cuff it's almost like she's funny by accident. I watched the movie, liked it. Rewatched skipping all scenes but the ones Tig Notaro was in, and it got noticeably better, lol. I kind of want to see her in a starring role. And for the love of God please...a GOOD starring role. Not a starring role in a woke piece of trash that no one will go see. Thank you for listening to my Ted talk.
