Fr I’ll pull up a “character guide” and it’s just wack ass combos. Like how tf do I play neutral, spacing, pokes, knowledge checks. simple combos not some full meter super bullshit hahaha
As a brand new player who is currently in Iron 1, I really appreciate this. Most guides either talk too much about combos or go into a move-by-move breakdown with frame data minutiae, both of which are good but none that talk about how to use her tools in such a clear and succinct way. Really earned a sub from me here
Well, I was hovering around low gold and managed to get a few wins away from platinum in one session using these tips... Props to you, finally a guide teaching how to play, rather than just combos.
Love to hear it, glad I could help I noticed all guides early are just showing combos, thought talking about the strategy and how to snowball with her would be more helpful to people who want really climb ranked with her!
This helped sooo much thank you! I got ken to platinum very easily because of a lot of cheese admittedly, but once I decided to learn cammy I had no idea what I was doing right or wrong and this guide helped me a lot for learning her.
Hiya! Yesterday I was frustrated with being stuck on Silver 5 for a few days. Someone on Reddit recommended this video of yours, and I really wanna thank you. I watched it twice and early today I managed to get a 5-win streak and reach Gold. I'm definitely studying your other videos. So again, thank you so much! Your tips were definitely a game changer for this noob Cammy player 😅.
As a mortal kombat player who never touched street fighter since it was on PlayStation, I was in for a reality check when trying to get used to sf6 controls and just overall how to approach the neutrals and what I can do. This helped me get my basics back again, much appreciated 😂
Mortal Kombat player here too...i HATE Street Fighters button mechanics (still do even with this game) BUT this will definitely hold me over till the new MK drops lol
Tbh MK games suck... It's just guessing type fighting games, more noob friendly because spacing and neutral isn't that important compared to SF games. Also you're pretty much done with NRS games quickly, their lifespan being 2 years at most if you're committed and I'm generous. It's more like a year.
Really helpful, I only got the game today and haven't played SF in a long time. Trying to get to grips with it but I know I won't be able to do all this but I am gonna try. Keep up the good work!
Man thank you. I played sf only super casual. I am a tekken player , pretty high in the ranks, but even tho these are two fighting games, street fighter feels alien to me, no idea what i am supposed to do when. This helped me a lot. Pls to more of these explanations .
Off the back heavy kick into spiral arrow you have enough plus frames you can guarantee a hooligan hit. So you can mix them up off of it. With the kick or grab
I'm a braindead combo robot (usually misses too). then don't know what to do, tried alot but seems my idea is not that vague in the lab! glad I stumbled on this one. can't wait to tumble on rank but need to finish the vid first!! UP FOR THIS and thank you very much bro!
finally a guide that teaches only 1 combo. All the other videos is more like a combo show off instead of a guide. too much combos that I dont know which one to use. THis guide is straight forward and simple. Encourage me to put more time on Cammy
@@flick2flick it means a standing MP. 2MP is a crouching Medium punch. Anime fighting games use numbers instead of directions. Look at the numpad on your keyboard. 5 is neutral, 2 is down, 8 is up, 4 is left and 6 is right.
I’ve been messing around with doing a cross up hooligan after landing charged spiral arrow. Seems like it has potential to be good. Fast drop is quick/ambiguous and if you let the low finish sometimes it hits meaty up to +10 on block. The meaty seems kinda hard to get consistent and even though it’s super plus you’re kinda far away to use the advantage.
So IDK about the HOoligan-Jab thing because I'm a scrub, I don't go here. I -WILL- point out however that Jamie's LP specifically while drinkless is a good chunk shorter than most of the casts, and has an extra frame of start up. IDK if that means anything, but this seemed like on oe fthose spots with lot sof cool info, so wanted to put that sooomewhere. Keep doing your thing though loving this content.
I found a pretty good use for forward heavy kick, was fighing a juri and used it when she woke up tried to grab me, it would move me back just out of range to avoid the grab and punish
This video was really helpful! Thank you for making this type of video. Would love an intermediate/advanced version of this as well. Basically everytime u said "why am i talking about thats too advanced for this" make a video of those things!
You don’t have to ex knuckle for the fire balls, Heavy spin knuckle is fire ball invulnerable, just take a step you can use a standing LK to catch people jabbing after wards and you can cancel that into drive rush for grab, block if they mash dp or combo . If you have difficulty reacting to the player throwing a fire ball just always stare at their character when you see them go for it spin to counter them.
Hooliganyou can use safely once you condition them to a rush down especially when their in the corner a lot of player panic if they see you rushing them down to the corner, once and awhile ex hooligan flip grab them , you can use standing HK to rest them on the way down , follow up with bait dp, grab, or jump over them for LK on the way down and grab them or again bait them for dp . Cammy is alot of rinse and repeat. Just take your time with them and once you get a hit take control of the flow of battle
I just recently hit platinum and using your video to get some more safe options for Cammy because I'm getting punished a lot, so thanks for that, but I wanted to comment and point out something that's kinda useful for pressure, not really sure how it fares in platinum+ yet because I haven't been given the oppurtunity to try (hopefully now with your tools) But for pressure if you SHP into spin knuckle (L and M give you +16 and H gives you +17), you can hit confirm a CLP into a L or M spiral arrow, I like doing M
I think it's great and I go for it if I landed like a j.lk or something! But on wake up and blockstrings in general, it's too hard to confirm if the first jab hits, so going into backMP isn't as good on block than just doing a jab string/tick throw
I think there is actually a hooligan setup i saw, after ex spiral arrow. You so hooligan into fast fall when you cross over and you get a really meaty mp, think its +1 on block and plus enough to get sHP. Not really sure how useful that will be tho
Ideally you realize the cr Hp was blocked and don't always default to the job. You can start throwing/shimmying them after a blocked cr.hp since it is plus. If you have done jab and the opponent respects it now and does not press a button after the Cr.hp because they fear the jab frame trap, you can just start walking up and "stealing your turn" back. If you did do the jab however, my big two options are either to drive rush after the jab and start more pressure that way if I have a lot of meter, or I will usually take a step back and see if i can whiff punish something. Even if they don't swing, I like that range for Cammy a lot anyway because of how strong her st MK and st HK and Dive kick are. I didn't talk about her dive kick much this guide but I definitely will in the future. If oyu get familiar with the spacing that will give you plus frames, Cammy is a monster at that range.
Hi mate! Thanks for the video. I'm a Cammy player, and I can do a big combo, and different cool technics, but, surprisingly, I struggle with a basic combo. For unknown reasons In this game, it's so damn difficult to connect LP > LK. There's a 50% chance I press LK too late even if I confirm the first two jabs and full of joy end up the combo with Spiral Arrow on block, which is painful. I've tried to mash, or catch a timing, but still can't do this confidently. Do you have any tips on how to train this properly?
I had quite a bit of trouble with this as well actually because week 1 I was always doing lpx3 but that is much less consistent because of the range of LK is so much better. Not sure if I can think of any tips besides just doing it in training mode a bunch which is what I did haha. I for sure would not mash it though, try to get the timing down. For me it felt like I was actually pretty LK too fast so I had to slow down just a bit so I practiced in training mode until it felt more natural to slow it down.
The only other characters I feel comfortable enough are Jaime and Kimberly because I played them throughout the betas! I could definitely do that in the future!
I’m a plat 1 Cammy. A lot of cammys i see constantly land crouching heavy punch a lot on wake up, but whenever I try to do it they’re always looking out for it so it gets blocked. Any tips on how to land that more?
It getting blocked isn't too bad because you are +1 after. But to get people to press buttons on wake up more often you just need to cycle your options. If they are always blocking crouching HP, then just throw them on wakeup instead. If they are always teching your throws, you can start doing cr.HP or shimmy's. If they become scared of ct.hp or shimmy, start throwing them again! You should aim to always mix up how you pressure them on knockdowns
Can do anything you like after the DR. I find StMP hard to follow up off of on block cause it pushes so far. Bmp might be the best but because of its low range you need to do it much later so you might get the DR checked. BMP gives really good frame advantage and can leave you in throw range which is really nice.
Can definitely make an entire video on this! It's something I struggled with in SF5 with Cammy. That being said, throws are much better in 6 than they were in 5 so the threat of getting thrown by Cammy makes this easier in 6.
