Interested to see how the micro panel works as we are looking to upgrade from an older model ATEM tv studio hd to a constellation. Our volunteers like the physical switcher and this is way more affordable than the other panels
Dear brother. Sorry to trouble you. A big question. I have this as a technical question. Are there HDMI capture cards and video encoders that allow you to scale and position video feeds on a 1920x1080 canvas, including the ability to scale the video by 67% and position it at the centre of the screen? I am looking for devices with these features that have hardware video encoders or do it within the hardware. I'm not looking for a device/ video switcher option just like the one below. So once this setup is done in the encoder it outputs it to a HDMI clean or SDI or USB/UVC for use as a webcam. Alternatively, through the software, set it up so that it outputs this custom composition HD canvas to the RTMP destination. (This means the scaled HDMI signal gets encoded into that particular way to scale and position video feeds on a 1920x1080 canvas ability to scale the video by 67% and position it at the centre of the screen. This would reformat an HD setup five streamtream that was done in HD and push it to a vertical livestream platform like Instagram, which is VERTICAL. Hence, if I were to send an HD 1920x1080, it would crop in the centre only. So I want to scale the image before it arrives on Social Media Platforms) Any help is much appreciated.
Was goofing around with the new audio features and they are amazing!! Also, the new color slices now make skin tone adjustments a breeze. It was almost like the development team has been standing over my shoulder for the past six months observing what I've been struggling with. Bravo Blackmagic!!
Would like to see more on the instant replay… wish it can be connected to a hyper deck instead of DaVinci…. Grant explanation was all over the place… good job Alex on all that u do.
Thank you for the recap ! Interested in learning more about the BM 2110 IP Converter. That really something that would get me in this workflow. Somehow sad to see BM going in the opposite direction of NDI with the 2110 IP protocol, or maybe am i getting it wrong.
Nope you're not wrong at all, Blackmagic will (IMO) never adopt NDI in their products. The licensing fee they have to pay (to one of their direct competitors) would be huge.
I don't see the Blackmagic Ethernet Switch 360P listed as POE++ on their website? In the video you said this switch will send power to connected devices?
Hi Alex, thanks for the new video! Instant replay, that's going to be really interesting! Did I get that right? Grand also mentioned a low-cost option at 1:18:48. This means that this instant replay feature will also be implemented in the ATEM Television HD8 ISO and the ATEM Mini Extreme ISO with a connected USB SSD through a future software update. What exactly does he mean by the problem of H264 ISO files with latency? Wouldn't it take growing files to establish a replay system on these devices? If that were to actually happen, it would definitely be a welcome upgrade for many customers. What do you think?
With everything on the network you don't have to run as much cables and your whole system becomes a router. Some brands like Riedel already make solutions that are crazy expensive that do a similar thing (decentralized router) but with st2110 it can be done directly in a network from end to end. In broadcast it is a game changer but in corporate and web use it is still to be determined if the cost will get low enough to be worthwhile in those simpler configuration
I don't understand how to use the ATEM micro panel with USB where does the USB go does it go to the switcher? Does it go to a computer on the network running the software both? I would like to be able to switch without a computer
2110, because you can convert 2110 copper to fibre with a simple media converter if you need the cable lengths of fibre. Then you can run 2110 for local monitoring. Eventually there will be a 2110 constellation switcher to complete the workflow for doing everything 2110 natively.
ATEM 1 M/E Constellation HD should have had ability to scale two inputs for side by side. Also dumping a few inputs ISO'ed like the mini toys can. The minis are either all SDI or HDMI, and not mixed. I sold my ATEM TVS years ago and went OBS but keep looking to come back but the features just never line up right.
