  • Many of you also have the problem with your Royal Enfield classic 350 that the original rearview mirrors vibrate very strongly. Today I'm testing 2 different mirrors the bar end mirrors and the Royal Enfield touring mirrors and try to solve the problem with the vibrations.

    I had the same vibrations on the mirrors and installed the bar end mirrors. The only disadvantage is that filtering becomes a little more difficult. Thanks for the video.

    One of the first things i did to my little Hunter 350 was bar end mirrors. 50% of my view with the original mirrors was of my shoulders. Once i switched to the bar end mirrors i actually could see a better view behind me. Thanks for sharing!

    Bar end mirrors goes with the classic style & gives you better view as the arms will not block the view, Any how its up to your convinces

    Tried Hitchcocks mirror damping mounts .
    Totally useless.
    Bought a pair of EBay bar end mirrors from India in black £39
    Huge improvement.
    Zero vibration ,way better vision and with no arms blocking the view.
    Only thing I did was bevelled the throttle side mount using a large drill bit tip then tidied with a Dremel grinder .
    There now is no big gap between the mount and the rubber of the grip.
    Way better than the original mirrors and well worth buying

    Bar ends all the way!! In my opinion the chrome and the shape of them compliment the overall aesthetics of the Classic 350 much better than the touring. Never mind the better view and less vibration. Thanks for the video, great help when deciding. My Stadium bar ends are on the way.

    I must be very lucky with my stock mirrors then because I have ridden my Classic for 3000 miles (4800km) at all speeds and all types of road and never once thought about the mirrors. Having said that, I do like the look of the bar-end mirrors.

    Bar end are a hazard, you have to take your eyes and attention off the road in front to look down to the bar-ends. Standard mirror position allows you to keep eyes forward and with peripheral vision you can still see what is in the mirrors without looking away.

  • @pedroc6823
    @pedroc6823 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I saw something a year ago. It was for longer mirrors like those.
    They were small weighted dampers that you snap and screw snug onto the stem. It came with a set of weighted bar ends also.
    The idea is that you find the speed they are badly vibrating and either slide the damper either up or down the stem.
    From what I saw they worked. Kinda like balancing a tire.,
    Fir me me bar ends cause you to look down and away. That split second not worth it. For me any way.
    If you have bar ends enjoy them.

  • @peterbinner7089
    @peterbinner7089 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I prefer the look and larger mirror size of the Touring mirrors. The bar end mirrors gave you possibly less vibration and unobstructed rear view. I guess this is down to styling preferences unless you do a lot of tight filtering through traffic. That's looks like a nice wax jacket, do you mind if I ask what manufacturer it is?

    Bar ends will get broken off at least on my bike. If you want to see clearly with any mirror get a 4 cylinder bike and don't rev the ship out of it. Otherwise forget about them. They are only really functional in city driving and any mirror will work. Small glass is difficult to see thru so bigger is better if you can appreciate the looks. My 86 Yamaha has stock mirrors they still work good. Thanks for the demo you do a great job at being fair to all things tested.

    Hi Marc,
