Patrick Botticelli, thank you for this wonderful, detailed tour by Johny of his customized Casita. I have followed your very professional ,complete Airstream tours for many years. Best to Johny in his Journeys and WorkCamping endeavors.,phil
Hi Patrick! I love Casitas! That’s the camper I want. They have everything I would ever need. I think anyway. I just live these though. They are not too small and not too big. I appreciate Johny taking the time to show us around. Really enjoyed the video! ❤️💜💚
Love all the mods he did! If he wants to replace his stove he should go back to the factory in Rice TX this fall and have them do it! I hear they are wonderful!
This is exactly what I'd like. Just the right size. And I like that it's fiberglass & only two sections. Like what he did with the dinette area for extra seating.
This is a great camper! It has a shower and toilet which is fairly big! And a dinet and a bed that you dont have to put away if you dont't want. Maybe the kitchen is a little small but is great. Enjoy your stay!!
I had a 2016 17' Spirit Deluxe. I loved the idea of it, but ended up selling it to my brother who uses it as a "man cave" on the side of his house. It was easy to tow with a 4Runner and a Tahoe. I had the sway bar but didn't need a weight distribution hitch. The trailer truly lacked usable storage and I felt it was difficult to stay organized. I ended up having a receiver added to the back to use a cargo carrier. The previous owner did great with the shelves in the closet and under the sink. Great job, Johnny on cutting down the size of the bed. I think if I had done that, it wouldn't have felt as cramped.
I’m glad to have watched this video. I learned a lot about towing and how to not Jack knife in front of your house! I’m sure Johnny is a better driver these days….
Hi Patrick I just love this camper it is another wonderful home on wheels. Very Cool I am really thinking about my purchase when I can in about 2 years. Awesome fantastic. Gloria from Wildwood New Jersey.
Patrick, I feel like I know you from all the AirStream walk-throughs - pleasant surprise to see you again. Casita owner 2011 Spirit Deluxe - just a comment about the shelves in the closet - that's a mod added after market.
Casita does not recommend leveling the trailer with scissor jacks. The frames are not designed to support that much weight. Only use jacks to support the weigh by the wheels, where the frame is doubled up. The welded on jacks are for stabilization only.
What is the R value of the Casita walls ceiling and floor? Yeah nursing will kill you. Nobody realizes how many hours we work straight through. It's crazy.
hey Annette i’m not sure of R value i think it insulates against noise more than anything! Btw have you checked out my sister from another mister’s channel? jonnie’s journey she is currently travel nursing and she is an amazing builder. Patrick did a tour of her costume van build.
I like the vid & your Casita Very Nice!!! Your water hose 'regulator ' is just a filter its not regulating anything. You need to get one with a guage on it and a pressure knob so you can set the regular for your RV and what you need it to be 'set at'! Sometimes the guage is the knob. The one you have they sell for cheap, telling people, thats all you need! Not true! You need to see what pressure the parks water comes into your RV at, until it equalizes. The water pressure coming in could change with techtonic plate shift, earthquakes, floods, street or pipe work or crews working on water mains. This way you set the regulator for psi (pressure per sq in) from recommendations in your owners manual. Just saying. Many people buy the one you have or inherit them. Its like air pressure for your tires w/o the tire guage your going in blind. Theyre fairly cheap in price and well worth it.
Nice trailer, except the carpet wall and ceiling does not make much sense to me as it picks-up smell and dust. The escaper trailer has done a better job in that regard. Otherwise great lay-out.
I heard you mention that the AC cannot be used while boondocking. Is this correct even if you have solar power? Seeking a trailer that can boondock but still use heat, ac, fridge, all electrical outlets. I like the Casida and Oliver. But the Oliver is way out of our price.
The differences between Scamp and Casita our day and night I owned a Scamp fifth wheel 19-foot the entire thing was built out of 2 x 4 rectangle tubing that had rotted out and then the flooring had completely deteriorated leaving the fiberglass shell said you could cracking when going down the road complete disaster I lost $3,000 on the thing
Great info, Great tour! So ! Is Maxine your dog? Or is Maxine your wife? That bed she never sleeps in looks awfully small! Ahh! What gives?. L O L! Love your Casita!
Nice tour! I am curious to as how high the interior is? I almost bought a Casita a while back but I couldnt stand up straight inside. I am 6'0". I actually own a 1984 Uhaul CT13. I have just enough room inside to stand and change, but both the Scamp and Casita were too short. Great Video!
Another interesting walk-around. Johny is engaging and fun. Wish him the best, and a safe journey. Thanks for the interview.
thank U ! ha ha get it U lol

He has a very nice camper. Such a nice guy. Lots of cool ideas for others to follow.
Really appreciated all the towing talk. I've yet to tow anything and it's high on my fear list. This helped.
Thank you very much Erica

My wife and I pulled a camper when we first got married and I did all the driving except the backing up. (She is a farm girl)
Great memories
i think i need a farmer too!
Love it! Johny is very good at explaining everything, very thorough and lots of info. Nice job Patrick and Johny. Nice dog too! God bless you both!

I have never seen the vent gard things. Where would Someone find them
@@KSSwith2Shihs do you mean the stove top gent cover?
Very informative. Suggestion..Have an educational video on safety driving with both a trailer and RV.

@@johnysjourneys9450 I can see why. Keep yourselves safe. x
Thanks for the walk around it was very interesting. One suggestion to clear up some space: put the tools and project stuffing your vehicle.
thanks Cory

Sounds great!
Saving for a small camper just like this! Want to spend time with family but I’m so allergic to their cat, I have to stay in hotels for now!!!!
We thought that was you Patrick! We had the site across the road with the super tiny pop-up.
did you have a little white terrier??
@@johnysjourneys9450 yes that was us.

Nice 👍 thank you
That's why I practice pulling my camper trailer it's hard to pull it sometime or to turn it over to back it up.. what you learn as you go along..
Always practice.
Very nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
I like that Casita. Very. Ice. Small but when your camping your supposed to be outside!! Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Kerry
Awwh Kerry I love it it is so cute!!
He should call his channel "Two peas in a pod" :)
Thanks for checking in.
lol i love that idea!
Just noticed his pressure reducer is actually on wrong. He should use it where you turn on the water. That way he might also save his water hose also.
The hose is rated for a very high pressure but I see how that can also be helpful

Austin Powers pad.
Neat.
yah baby!!
I love Casita, but I'm allergic to carpet fibers and the glue they attach it with. I wish they would use something else.
sorry to hear that Nancy thanks for watching!
Why does no one have an oven in their Casita?? I need and oven!!
The firm factor is too small to manage an over properly
Well this one was interesting
Thank you Nancy
How much do they pay for it
Really good question.
🙂
Thank you Jane
🙂🙂🙂🙂👍
Thank you 😊
thanks so much!!
Never have wet bath. Living quarters to confined for wet bath. Smells up whole camper. Mildew and mold a constant problem. Always get dry bath. 🤗🇺🇸
Depends on where you live. I’ve never had mold in my Casita, not even in humid areas because it can’t grow if you clean it.
I really like the Casita deluxe ❤️. I would own.🙂
Go for it Wendy
hey Wendy!! one of the best decisions i ever made!! It tows like buttah!
