Tyson you are killin' it with the channel. In depth and clear concise instruction, these topics are really important facets I havent found anyone else explaining. Thank you!
Yo Tyson, just wanna say the visuals in this video are top tier and have gotten better with each video throughout the series. Seriously a job well done mate.
This is by far the best series, I love how you break down the strategy and situations. I love the way you describe body movement and control. PLEASE do an overhead smash video it's my worst shot. I never played any other sports. (I'm trying to become a 4.0)
"Ty the amazing Pickleball guy"..GREAT video!! LOVEx3 the hold cup of water!! Might also mention Grip Pressure.. no more than 3, maybe 4 if ur hitting at me! With all due respect nobody blocks like me. Goes back to YEARS of table tennis.. This was really a good one. Kev-
Oh yeah, and coach them NOT to flinch... The ball doesn't hurt that much.. I have them stand at kitchen sans paddle and hit them with a couple.. Sounds brutal but they learn not to fear the ball.. Keep on keeping on. Kev-
I see that you have utilized several backhand speed up shots which went higher. It seemed like the opponent was caught by surprise a few times in his forehand side. Did you have a specific target when you speed it up with your backhand?
Backhand speed up since I am more ready for re-counter because of added hitting zone on backhand side I am trying to be precise and off pace to create a 1-2 combo. I’m aiming for zone 3 and 4 or dominant arm pit. Get some pit juice off that speed up 🤣🤣🤣 In other words, I’m looking to re-counter and clean up with backhand. The hitting zone is more limited on forehand side which makes it tougher to clean up so my speed up has more intent and pace. More options to re-counter with backhand side in general which is why you can bank on re-counter versus initial speed up.
Guffster, would you normally block balls back that high if you were playing in a tournament? I've had points end quick when I did those kind of transition zone blocks. End badly I mean!
Totally agree, those weren't anywhere near 4.0 players. He needs one of his 6.0/pro friends driving at him.. Nice that he gives those others air time though..
I notice how much Jim was moving his feet relative to Tyson. I am trying to keep my feet more quiet. But seeing side to side comparison was helpful to see that quieting your feet is so much more effective!
@@robmorris8718 Think about "pivot" as in basketball. Keeping one foot in place and step back with the other rather than "give ground" it's a lifesaver..

Appreciate you following my channel
Good video. Any change in your grip pressure when you are blocking?

Imma start lightly playing pickle ball with my friends.😺
Makayla love that!
Hi its me Makayla the girl you played pickle ball with.😁
Hope you're still playing!

Hey Tyson! How many overgrips do you put on your paddle? The handle looks fairly thick.
3 my guy! My elbow is a light weight after tennis elbow so I have to go large and in charge 💪
So you put 3 over grips all of which being tournagrip?
Yes sir!
@@TysonMcGuffinPickleball thank you so much! You’re the man!

If I use height like I am in transition I would wait until I hit a ball that is more linear to get established
Also I follow you now.😉
Keep playing!
Height not Heighth….love ya!
😅
I liked the video but Tyson should have gotten volunteers who can really throw punches with some speed at you to block...
10-4 on it 👍✊🙌🙏
