As a kid growing up in the 80’s, arguably the best decade ever, I don’t want to offend anyone ever, the 80’s put out the best music ever, who can disagree?
I am 54 and think the 80's were way better than anything that came after, but for all time, not so sure. I like classical music and some jazz/swing, and of course the 60's and 70's had some great bands.

Still listening in July 2024. In 2nd grade my best friend and cousin also a 2nd grader was killed in a tractor accident. The next year my girlfriend lost two siblings in a house fire. That family carried a curse and 4 out of the seven young siblings died suddenly and tragically by our Senior yeah in High school not including other friends / classmates throughout the years and a good friend to both of us took his own life on high school graduation night. This song encompasses how I felt for so long and how I still feel sometimes. It is a beautifully tragic song! I am 44 now and have lost many more young friends and loved ones tragically and in sudden and unexpected ways. My girlfriend from those years and I are still very close!
Ya it would be stupid to remake this it's already perfect. I often wonder the same thing about other songs. Like Stairway to Heaven for example, why remake it it is stupid!
After mom passed due to breast cancer, lost my best friend. Can't wait till I can rest my head on her shoulder again. You only get one momma . Thought about trying to go home to mooma quicker but can't bring myself to that yet. God bless folks 🙏.

High School, I had a 1972 Karmann Ghia as my first car. Went to Gibson's Discount Center in Lawton, Oklahoma, and bought a high-dollar-to-me Pioneer stereo, and some 6x9 speakers. This was the first cassette I played in it. I damn near cried..........
I was married at 18 and widowed at 22 in 1992. This song brings some old feelings back every time. Time does make it easier, but never takes the raw emotion away. I get it! Wishing you a happy life!

So many iconic voices from the 80's era. Dio, Osborne, Perry, Vince Neil, Sammy Hagar, Bon Scott and Brian Johnson.... too many to count without leaving somebody unmentioned. With all that talent, Ozzy was the voice i would have chosen if I could have been blessed with it. Ronnie James Dio was so close and it was a toss up for a while but Ozzy had it all in my opinion. Cloverdale was another awesome voice that deserves brining up. I know I will get some hate for many not mentioned but at 60 y/o my memory is is somewhat " Joe Biden stricken ".😊
