What an awesome vlog! And what a wonderful way to spend your summers growing up. Very few people on earth get to experience what you and your family experience every summer. Definitely nothing like fishing Loch Raven.......but WAY cooler!! Thanks for sharing!
Wow thanks for sharing Celia! Your videos are food for my soul. I sure miss it down there and my heart aches every summer I don’t get to spend in Ekuk. I don’t know if you remember us since it’s been years since we’ve been fishing but I’ve been showing my mom (Sam) your videos and happy to know you and your parents are doing well! If you see this tell them we say hi! Keep up the great work! - Lahna
@@lahnajohnson31 omg this is the sweetest comment 😭😭 wow I’m so happy you found my video and reached out. Of course we remember you!!! I read this to my parents!! Tell your mom we say hi. If you have Instagram please message me so we can chat more @crfriedman
Thanks for uploading this as I really enjoy seeing things from the actual point of view of someone that does this type of stuff for a living and not some networks drama filled BS they like to serve up on TV! This is SO MUCH better to see as we as the viewer understand its genuine! Also love seeing mom in the kitchen kneeding dough and dancing to "Son of a preacher man" I clearly remember that song from my childhood hearing it play on the radio frequently! Thanks again!
Thank you! I've never seen the fishing TV shows but I hear a similar sentiment from people who have watched. Something tells me producers manufacture a lot of that drama. I'm glad I caught that moment of my mom!
What a TREAT! You created a gorgeous view into this wonderful experience you have. It was a 30 min documentary basically! Can't wait to see what the season brings you this year. Enjoy!
What a treat thanks for sharing! I feel blessed to get to come along with the Friedman family to Alaska. What a wonderful fishing life Celia and i am so happy i got to see and enjoy all of it with you. It was really fun to see the new house improvements as you and your mom were seeing them first hand. ❤❤
I am actually going to Ekuk pretty soon to work, and this vlog was so nice to watch.. Now I have a better understanding what I am going into. I am very excited about this:)
This was so beautiful ❤️ thank you for sharing this with us ❤ may you and your family continue to be blessed with many more healthy and fulfilling seasons
Luv luv luv it! You did a fantastic job Celia and you really capture the beauty and the wildness and the unpredictability of life as a fishing family in a small village on the coast of Alaska. I am thrilled that we've been able to join you all twice and share in the work and the joy. It is also a real treat to see you growing and learning how to do so much more than you would ever be exposed to in Baltimore. May Friedman Family Fishery continue to thrive and go from strength to strength. 😍🤩🥰
Hahaha it’s just a little bit different from life in Baltimore lol thank you so so much!! Capturing the beauty is one of my favorite parts. I really don’t have to do much except take out my phone and stand still :)
Celia loving it and if you decide to create a regular VLOG through season Mike and I would so enjoy watching. I loved seeing Noris baking since I started sourdough bread baking. Pat Whitehead gave me help. Avi and crew the work you did looks amazing. Sending to my friends and also to Adam in Indiana where he is performing till end of July. Thank you Celia and Friedmans, and crew. XO
Great video. I understand set netting a little better now.
Nice! It's basically a big pulley triangular system
This is amazing, never thought that fishing for salmon can be like that, totally different ball game, compared here. 🇨🇦 Thanks for sharing.👍🏼
Thank you! Right?! most people assume it's from a boat!
