Honeslty, a gen 2 set similar to 151 would go so hard. I'd love for them to revamp the older generations with a modern twist
Mega pokemon art should take notes from Temporal Forces going forward, specifically Raging Bolt…they need to have that Kaiju look, not the Macy’s day parade Chonkachu float look. I think the 4 gold SIRs of Crown Zenith and the 6 from Temporal forces
Numbered limited card will of course add on to the fun, collectability and card value and rarity. However at the same time I think it will make the scalping issues even worse. Scalpers will hoard even more boxes and cases
I just started collecting Like, today lol. Bought the Mew 151 collectors box to start, your outlook on the future of the scarlet & violet sets makes me feel like i picked a good time to hop back into the hobby. While its more for fun for now the investment aspect is interesting and I'll definitely continue to follow this channel to stay up to date on what's cool to chase . Cheers!
A lot of collectors from the vintage era are thirsting for an SIR Lugia / Ho Oh / Rayquazza

Twilight Masquerade really dropped the ball with those 4 Ogerpon cards. What could have been an S Tier a
Set is now maybe a B tier, the style is not great imo, and just having 4 of the same pokemon as SIR makes me far less excited to open it.
GEN 2 starters need some love in a future set, agreed. PE, 151, PR and PF are all crushing rn just gonna keep grabbing what I can in this $90+ market then when SWSH dries up all eyes will turn to these and realize “these aren’t bad…”

Where the comparison leaves off is where Swsh takes over. I don’t think Pokemon can top the sets in Swsh after battle styles.

Dude you nailed it in this video! SS will always hold a special place because of everything that happened during that time, but SV is so much butter to me. The art is the best ever.

For being the sixth set we’ve gotten it’s pretty solid. I’m so chasing after the greninja SIR, it’s so dope. I’m still betting S&V will surpass S&S in terms of sets.

Perhaps not video related, but wanted to share my trip to target! They had a lot of 151 Zapdos ex collections boxes, I bought 2. They had chilling reign etbs for $42… they had 9 knockout collection boxes for $10 each…. I bought all 9. They have evolving skies/fusion strike!! They had umbreon/sylveon V tins..
First wave umbreon v tins I should add. 2 evolving skies packs, 1 each bstars and fusion strike!!

Do i get another Evolving Skies box for 750, my first cosmic eclipse box for 950 OR do i grab 2 sealed 6 box cases of Obsidian Flames & paradox rift for a bit over 1200.

the next big thing is probably that specialty dragon set. could be really good since the art has been so good lately and who doesnt love dragon types.

I love scarlet and violet. The switch games are more important than people think. If you beat scarlet or violet, you will understand why these pokemon have a place and are important.

Ogerpon doesn't do it for me at all so this set is a big pass for me personally. 4 SIR slots eaten up by 1 lame pokemon is disappointing.
We saw riots over the vangogh pikachu, I think if TPC made a 1/1 pikachu or charizard or something like MtG did for The One Ring, theres a pretty good chance of legitimate violence which is scary 😅
Lastly, I'd LOVE a gen 2 SV151 style set. SIR Tyranitar lets gooo

Twilight Masquerade will be the most underwhelming set to come out
Tbh, with TPC headquarters apologizing last year for product shortage/market manipulation and vowing to rectify the situation, I highly doubt sealed product will be a scarcity anymore. Especially with what we are seeing from Crown Zenith/Vstar Universe onward, the tide has shifted. Collectible market is rather simple, all about supply and demand. With supply at abundance and the customer base diluted by other TCG products, for example One Piece, the market value for majority of the Pokémon products, sealed or single, should see gradual decline barring inflation and limited fomo buyouts. Just my 2 cents, I stopped buying sealed since SV base set, only picking up single from SS and prior gens. Don’t get me wrong, some of the SV cards artwork are amazing and definitely worth collecting, nonetheless, it doesn’t mean they are as investable compared to pre-SV gen sets. After all, the print run is not on the same scale level anymore. Buy with caution.

Been saying it for years. They should do a limited print run of a shiny pokemon. So say the next set has a special illustration rare Lugia. 500 of those SIR lugia’s will be numbered shiny out of 500 and the other tens of thousands printed will be in lugia’s normal version but still the same artwork as the shinys
