OK, seems to work fine now, don't know what the problem was. Pretty good video, I enjoyed it and learned a bit too. There is one thing that confuses me though, the Response Curves. I thought the point of the game is to experience what it was like to fly in WW1. Did the pilots then have the ability to adjust the sensitivity of their controls? I don't think so. So, it seems to me, if the default sensitivity of the controls is historically accurate, then adjusting the Response Curves would only be for easing new players into the game, just like the various "easy" settings. When someone is ready for "Real" simulation then the Response curves should all go back to the default. Or have I completely misunderstood something?
The flight sticks on WW1 planes were much longer than the ones used by flight simmers, and so some of the curve is to make it easier to make minute adjustments closer to the center of travel. Of course, you can move the whole curve up or down and make the plane fly level with the stick at neutral. Cheating? Maybe? Personal preference.
Nice vid Rise of Flight is an excellent freebie, if you wanta get stuck into some flight simming, the flying feels real good. + you get a decent bundle of free stuff and frequent sales of all the additional planes / campaigns etc :) Love this Sim
Its a great game,one of the things i like the most about flight sims like ROF and IL2 is that not only does it teach people how to multitask versus the "point and fly and dont worry about crashing" arcade games it also gets some people interested in history, you might be flying a Albatros and then you can wiki it and find out more about it or the time in history and what happened then, who built them etc. I bought ROF the week it came out and it was real laggy and had a few problems but they fixed them and i play this game about every week,Ive always had issues with ground targets but no problem shooting down planes,sometimes i just like to fly period and the graphics are gorgeous.
My stick doesn't work with the plane, i turned on the Stick in settings and i'm using the logitech extreme 3d pro. I also followed the response settings but it still doesn't work. Do you know why?
two question from a uhh nub as you call it, what controll makes both the wing elevators go up at the same time, and how do i make the plane stop drastically turning to the right, ièm using rebound keyboard controlls with the mouse specificlly for head movement.
Wisdom,Power,Donut ailerons are on the wings and they control roll. elevators control pitch. I've never tried flying in this game without a joystick so I'm not much help to you there

To prevent spinning in circles until you break a wing, apply your rudder controls in the opposite direction to counteract spin caused by the propeller. This takes some practice, because if you apply it too long, you can start to spin the other way.
there is a training campaign in game. Takes you through some good basics of flight. Still good to read up and look videos on each individual plane and their quirks.
I can't register the game I signed up now it just account inactive and u have to sign in to use the code it's just a bunch of bs tried steam then there site same story doesn't let u register

If this causes you to spin the other way, put the rudder in the other direction. Keep adjusting the rudder back and forth until you go straight long enough to take off. Hopefully this helps. I have had Rise of Flight for 2-3 years. And now I have gotten into it. I only play when I'm in the mood for it. It is very difficult. First you have to learn to fly the planes, then you must learn to hit with the guns. It is a kind of rubbish game. The guns can block at any time. There is a delay of a fraction of a second when you pull the trigger. That is bad in a game. One gun has 500 shots, two guns got 2 times 500 shots. Why can't a single gun have 1000 shots? And the friendly planes are weak. Still I keep RoF. It is cheap. I have spend less than 10$. And I belive I learn something about flying warbirds.
Sorry, but I found this video useless. Perhaps some sort of error has occurred, I don't know, but the video does not match the audio at all, It is as if the audio was from a totally different video and was patched to this video by mistake. The narrator says things like "This is the fuel gauge", but the video is not pointing at any gauge at all, instead just looking out the window, making it impossible to understand what is being talked about.

As simply as possible:
The engine causes the plane to turn during take off. To go straight, put your rudder (the plane's tail) in the opposite direction that you're turning in. If this causes you to spin the other way, put the rudder in the other direction. Keep adjusting the rudder back and forth until you go straight long enough to take off. Hopefully this helps.

if the real aircraft doesn't have a trim control you should not ever be able to make a trim in game

Check to make sure your controls are working properly and are not possibly reversed. Without more information I don't know how to help you.
You are supposed to use trim so it turns in the opposite direction or just put off all realistic engine measurements.
