The way it used cables to warp the wing at its trailing edge wing tips to effectively roll the airplanes. It's crazy to think that there where men strapped in this thing to shoot down airplanes without ailerons. That's why this period of flight is by far the most interesting in my opinion. Great video!
There were a few sloppy mistakes but you're absolutely right that good ACM is key to everything, from WW1 through to 5th gen fighters. However by and large your strategy here was excellent, lag turns, as much of a yoyo as that aircraft can manage, and making sure you didn't overshoot as the priority rather than chasing the kill so hard you overshoot and get gunned down as some often do. But do try to make sure your scissors type manoeuvres aren't early, and choosing between a slice for angles and a pitchback for radius could be a little quicker, particularly when it comes to a standard one and two circle fight. On the flip side the slower speeds makes everything happen a lot faster so you really aren't given the time to think properly.

If you use your rudder more for turning you could have your target down a heck of a lot sooner. I've noticed in some instances the fokker would turn even faster if I went near 90deg roll from rudder input, then put in opposite rudder to roll back a bit, still in the turn, then apply rudder again in the turns direction. I usually only use stick roll to start turns and end them. Also, you need to use more rudder for aiming, so many shots you could have blasted into the guy but you didn't use any rudder to aim.
I used to play "Ace of Aces" and "Red Baron". I remember how difficult it could be to win when flying an Eindecker against the planes that came just after it.

It is historically accurate to get in really, really close. The machine guns they were using weren't the most accurate, and were prone to jamming. ISTR reading a story of a French pilot who returned to his field after a dogfight covered in blood. He wasn't wounded, just that close to his enemy. There were also quite a lot of mid-air collisions, both between combatants and friendlies. While pilots didn't get parachutes, (well, the Germans did late in the war, but allied officers thought pilots would chicken out and jump at the first sign of trouble) balloon observers did.
Anthony Fokker , there was a story about him . He was in New York in about 1927 when he was mixed up .In what was said to be a murder , But I don't know anymore .

Heh. Usually when I see that an enemy plane is totally crippled (like the guy losing his tail), I just let them be. Partly out of chivalrious behaviour of only shooting down the machines, not the men. But mostly to save even more ammo.
Was the Sikorsky S-16 not the first aircraft with synchronisation gear to fire its forward-firing armament through the arc of its spinning propeller without bullets striking the blades?
The engine is lubricated by a total loss castor oil system which works in a similar way to a 2 stroke engine lube system. It isn't fueled by castor oil.

Hello guys, I have a problem considering the way graphics appear on this game... I did set everything on high, 1920x1980 resolution, but the image still looks like an old PC game from 2005 inatead of what is depicted on this video (or any other videos I've seen about RoF). Am I doing something wrong or there are mods to make the graphics look so...petfect!!

That Nieuport was a moron. He should have reversed his turns on you, and you would have been screwed. The E-III rolls like a battleship. Just roll right, wait for the follow, then snap left and go into Immelman turn. No way the Fokker will be able to follow unless maybe he make a high jo-jo move by extending his right turn into an Immelman of his own and then barrelrols back in on you. Though the Fokker's roll is so bad I doubt he'd be able to complete that roll before the Nieuport is on him.
Incorrect. Radials and rotaries are two different types of engines. In a radial, the pistons rotate the crankshaft (to which the propeller is attatched), and the crankcase is fixed to the airframe. In a rotary, the crankshaft is fixed relative to the airframe, and it is the crank_case_ (in addition to the cylinders themselves and, of course, the propeller) that rotates. In WW1, rotaries were used more commonly than radials, in part because the engine technology of the time was inferior, leading to lower RPMs and longer gaps between pistons' firing. Well, for a very small niche market 60 people for a very hardcore flight sim is alot of people. Everything is relative buddy.
I guess a rate o 520pm is better than 1000pm but losing 500 to deflection, It wasn't that many but still wasted shots with the deflector method.

Actually parachutes were issued, but solely to airship crews. Aircraft pilots didn't have any.
