Tbh, I think Jedi Master (the second highest difficulty) gives you the most "Dark Souls" experience. Grandmaster is - at times - far harder and more needlessly brutal than anything in the Souls games apart from Malenia, as displayed here.

Funniest part is when he would slowly get frustrated every time someone who never played the game told him what to do where it got to the point where he would just read the chat and start telling them they never played the game and then just continued to fight oggdo 😂
as someone who isn't good at souls games, and doesn't really enjoy doing the same boss 20+ times, what difficulty should I play this game on? I want it to be hard, yet still fun.
I probably died 20+ times before I defeated it. Best strat is to run around it, until it does its unblockable red charge attack. You get a small opening to attack then. I used the double bladed. Also use the lightsaber throws for chip damage. Dying multiple times will let you adapt to his attack pattern. That’s probably the most important thing to learn
You should force pull the hammer dudes on the top and drop them on to the boss. They will wipe it down to 1/3rd or even kill it. Just stay on top and hit it with a few blaster bolts before it dies.
Wait they brought that Frog back from the first game? Honestly it wasn't that hard in the first game I mean I cheesed it the first time but it easier when you know it's easier when you can cut it's tongue off it gets rid of a move and also when you have more force abilities.
For some reason the frog in this game is insanely difficult. It’s always aggressive. The rancor was easier. I think the frog boss is honestly an Easter egg fight that you’re supposed to do at endgame. It opens up another fight at one of the shops. There’s a baby frog in the cave with the frog…
The frog is literally a meme. Beating the boss gives you a poncho which is also a meme. There’s also a small frog watching you fight the frog that judges you.
@@meathandsmans Oddly, enough. I think that frog's been there from the beginning. So I wouldn't be surprised if this frog worshipped Oggdo like some god.
A lot of people fought that frog in the first game too early and so it gained a reputation as being really hard. The devs likely added this guy and made him really hard as a reference to that.
Its moments like this, too early to face a hard boss but it is absolutely doable. This is my favorite moment in a game. I always think back to Nier Automata, and beating Robo Dojo all the way through the moment you can access his quest line. Its my favorite feeling in any game, being underleveled and still beating a boss. There is no better feeling
The Fractured Tradition force tear on Jedha has been the most infuriating part of this game so far. Solid 2-3 hours on GM to finally nail the timing and combos 😓
@itsmeike it's the one at the Monastery Walls with 7 enemies that you have to fight in single saber stance - battle droids, B2 droids, Bedlam Raiders, and a Purge Trooper. On Grand Master difficulty, it made me want to chuck my controller multiple times lol
@itsmeike I definitely attempted super early in my run through....also took me a hot minute to get accustomed to the controls. Could just be a skill issue on my part hahaha 😆
The small variations in his attack pattern are probably the most annoying part. You never know if he’ll attack right after his charge move or not, him biting four times is unexpected, the red bite attack feels like the dodging is iffy at best. Overall pretty unfair annoying fight. I struggled with this FAR more than any other fight in the game, including the final boss
How I got the frog: used blaster stance and charged shot which would stagger him briefly to get a free swing or two in. 5 charged shots with swings, when empty, pick up your respawn restore to get your blaster shots and force back. Slowly whittle his health down, rinse repeat. That was the trick to the offensive, defense lmao pretty much the only tip is to jump more than you dodge, he's annoying and awful
Met him midway through the game, I had beat rayvis after 9 hours fighting him on jedi grand Master but had to drop the difficulty to master just to beat him, made it incredibly easy for just one difficulty lower, but I did get rayvis second phase health bar down to half multiple times, I just wanted to continue the story. Anyways I met ogddo shortly after and broke because it had been less then a hour since I fought rayvis and I broke and dropped the difficulty to story. Oggdo still hurts during story mode took like 10 percent of my health which is huge if you have ever tried story.
You can cheese this boss by standing behind the chest to the back of the room. For some strange reason once you position yourself against the wall and can no longer see cal, the frog randomly de agrros and goes back and forth as though it sees you one minute and then can't. Killed it like that took me 2 minutes
You can just throw the saber and kill him in like 20 seconds lol. Because he can't see you, you're not in combat so you can use the force abilities infinitely. Also no threat of being hit by him.
Ye I found that out on probably my 30th try, I was just jumping around trying to see if there was any cheese and though of hiding behind the chest abd then he forgot about me. Tbh it felt so good even though it was a cheese cause thus boss is bs and cause I figured it out.
@NighttimeAsbestos I was playing on the highest difficulty. Also I don't see how difficulty would change anything Edit: also this guy doesn't say what difficulty he was on lol.
@@TommFoolery You can't spam saber throw on the highest difficulty unless you also build it back up with normal attacks, so passive throwing doesn't work. Also, Charlie does say he's playing on Jedi grand master difficulty. So the throw saber cheese doesn't work on the highest difficulty.
You can use Force Pull to get 2 hammer guy from upper level. Then push them down the pit, if you can get both of them in there at the same time, they can took 60% of the frog hp
So I did this, but also jumped down with them to take advantage of Oggdo being distracted for free hits. On the third try of this, I got Oggdo down to like 20%, but died, while the Hammer Raiders were still alive. When I came back. Spawn of Oggdo was gone. So I guess they killed him during my reload screen.😂
Yeah this is what I did in new game plus on grand master to make it easier, brought the two hammer guys in while using blaster stance to keep pressure on the frog, made the battle trivial, first time I beat him on regular grandmaster I think I just kept all the droids fall with him and switched between single and double stance and used lots of throws and one two combos before running away, made it a long battle of patience
Honestly almost quit this boss too. Luckily I got it in about ten tries. What is awful is the Duo, father and son fight you have ten seconds later in the shop
There's actually a way to trivialize Spawn of Oggdo, was playin on Jedi Grandmaster when i figured out you can forcepull the big hammer raiders down from their platform, and if you're standing close enough to the edge you can force push them in without them able to resist. (With the hold/big push ability anyways). You might need the dash ability to be able to open the hatch without falling in. Those 2 big fellas will almost kill that frog outright and leave him on around 15% HP, wich allowed me to finish him off on my second try! Getting the raiders in the hole can be a bit of a struggle though, as one raider wont be enough to get him very low (around 60%HP).
Bruh, I feel the same way about that darn frog, I said and reacted the EXACT same way in my play though on my channel. I *still* haven't beaten him yet (I'm on Jedi Master dif). Great vid!
If you feel like cheesing it, use force pull on the hammer dudes on the ledge above and drop them into the hole. For me they have Oggdos health at 1/3 by the time he killed them. Then I just cleaned up the mess
@@Dungeoneer420 I actually tried knocking them into the hole but it wouldn't let me, however that was me to trying to kill them. And I wanna beat him myself, otherwise I'd just lower the dif since there's no reward for dif in the game. But dude, thanks so much for the tip, really! I'll get him yet!
there is a glitch on xbox with the shattered moon boss fight. the bug causes the boss to respawn and the crossguard stance to disappear whenever you rest at that meditation point that spawns after the boss is defeated. The boss is also now invincible, (not able to go below 1HP) and blocks Cal from getting the Cross Guard stance, and momentarily soft locks you unless you run away and sneak back to slice open the door. leaving the planet, completing the game, and restarting the game do not fix it.
It’s more of a meme boss than anytbing, it was a “spawn of Oggdo”, refering to the same type of frog boss from the first game, known for being early in the game and very very hard. It’s a meme that they turned the boss into one of the hardest ones in the game, and for the poncho behind it. Just a funny meme Easter egg all in all

as someone who isn't good at souls games, and doesn't really enjoy doing the same boss 20+ times, what difficulty should I play this game on? I want it to be hard, yet still fun.
@@aexonity jedi knight
@Ringoroadagain6 Fallen Order had the same thing, the bosses were outrageous💀
Charlie's Zenkai boost took a while but he eventually surpassed Lord Froggé
I like when Charlie says: "DOUBLE TONGUE THAT EARLY. RARE."
My respect went up after watching that … RELENTLESS VICTORY
"I dont have the performance problems"
Sees 14 stutters per minute .
33:41 Gotta watch out for those wrist rockets.
It is weird, cuz in Jedi Fallen Order, on the first map you fight exactly the same side boss and you get from it completely the same pink poncho.
Not exactly the same. That was Oggdo Bogdo, the one in Jedi: Survivor is his offspring
Though you do get to fight Oggdo Bogdo in this game as well
I would've never thought a toad could be such a difficult boss.
2:01:44 he runs like that so he doesn’t cut his legs off. Lasers. In his hands.
bro died more times to a space frog than malenia and orphan of kos combined💀
I got to the boss today. Thank you so much for saving me so much pain and heartache
You should force pull the hammer dudes on the top and drop them on to the boss. They will wipe it down to 1/3rd or even kill it. Just stay on top and hit it with a few blaster bolts before it dies.
At 42:30, one of the gaurds literally trip up, thats a cool little detail
I loved watching every minute of this madness
@@MisterDerpScout ye and the frog even follows you to next fight at the saloon
@@meathandsmans Oddly, enough. I think that frog's been there from the beginning. So I wouldn't be surprised if this frog worshipped Oggdo like some god.
A lot of people fought that frog in the first game too early and so it gained a reputation as being really hard. The devs likely added this guy and made him really hard as a reference to that.
That walk of shame to Oggdo is an insult to injury 🤣
I love how the boss also drops the same poncho as Oggdo Bogdo did
The one-shot chickens never fail to be funny
Boss fight starts at 2:44:44
whos gonna tell him about the 2nd version of this figth where the frogs dad comes in and helps?
Its moments like this, too early to face a hard boss but it is absolutely doable. This is my favorite moment in a game. I always think back to Nier Automata, and beating Robo Dojo all the way through the moment you can access his quest line. Its my favorite feeling in any game, being underleveled and still beating a boss. There is no better feeling
Heroin definitely feels better
"I forgot what my main mission was" LMAO
@itsmeike ooo I like the sound of that. I'll have to try it out next time, thanks!

The picture of this video made me think it was some realistic legend of zelda game
The final boss fight took me hours to complete I did this one in like 1-2 hours. Pain in the ass though lol
The fact that he kept trying to force pull the tongue bc of chat😂
Wait till Charlie’s gets to the planet where it trolls you by not giving you a meditation point for a LONGG time.
charlie shoudve been actively keeping his distance throwing his wong tong at him
5:07:15 boss dies first part of the fight 2:44:49
The unblockable Combo bite is crazy. Barely any time to realize you can't block that shit
5:40:09 "game is good so far" *instantly dies*
The poncho as a reward is hilarious if you’ve seen the clip
You can cheese this boss by standing behind the chest to the back of the room.
For some strange reason once you position yourself against the wall and can no longer see cal, the frog randomly de agrros and goes back and forth as though it sees you one minute and then can't.
Killed it like that took me 2 minutes
You can just throw the saber and kill him in like 20 seconds lol. Because he can't see you, you're not in combat so you can use the force abilities infinitely. Also no threat of being hit by him.
@@TommFoolery well throwing the saber won't work in the difficulty level he was playing at
Ye I found that out on probably my 30th try, I was just jumping around trying to see if there was any cheese and though of hiding behind the chest abd then he forgot about me. Tbh it felt so good even though it was a cheese cause thus boss is bs and cause I figured it out.
@NighttimeAsbestos I was playing on the highest difficulty. Also I don't see how difficulty would change anything
Edit: also this guy doesn't say what difficulty he was on lol.
Oggdo Bogdo and Spawn of Oggdo at the same time is even worse lol
You can use Force Pull to get 2 hammer guy from upper level. Then push them down the pit, if you can get both of them in there at the same time, they can took 60% of the frog hp
So I did this, but also jumped down with them to take advantage of Oggdo being distracted for free hits. On the third try of this, I got Oggdo down to like 20%, but died, while the Hammer Raiders were still alive. When I came back. Spawn of Oggdo was gone. So I guess they killed him during my reload screen.😂
Could also use confusion to put them on your team
Yeah this is what I did in new game plus on grand master to make it easier, brought the two hammer guys in while using blaster stance to keep pressure on the frog, made the battle trivial, first time I beat him on regular grandmaster I think I just kept all the droids fall with him and switched between single and double stance and used lots of throws and one two combos before running away, made it a long battle of patience
Just wait til he gets to spawn of oggdo and oggdo at the same time 😂😂😂
Honestly almost quit this boss too. Luckily I got it in about ten tries. What is awful is the Duo, father and son fight you have ten seconds later in the shop
I love how at the rancor fight all charlie had to do to avoid any of the slams was a simple jump or double jump..
Speaking of not being able to dodge a boss grab…the last boss fight was infuriating.
That rancor bone trick blew my mind
I'm amazed at how well this game turned out. Really great game
isn't the performance awful on pc?

I tried to fight the Frog like twenty times on Jedi Master. I eventually just turned it on easy. Why is this boss harder than the rancor?
It’s more of a meme boss than anytbing, it was a “spawn of Oggdo”, refering to the same type of frog boss from the first game, known for being early in the game and very very hard. It’s a meme that they turned the boss into one of the hardest ones in the game, and for the poncho behind it. Just a funny meme Easter egg all in all
@@jdogge1967 he was way way easier in the first game though. They made him so strong in Survivor. I love the Easter egg but I gave up after dying so much. The dark/funny side story with the kid frog is also really well done.
@@superjlk_9538 I think that accidentally, he stronger than they intended. I’ve heard that he has multiple bugs, that take away his punish windows, and make him always attack. I think they intented for him to be hard but not like this.
@@jdogge1967 that makes the most sense. He does not stop attacking. Seems like something got messed up in the coding. I’ve gotten farther in the game and even the other animal bosses are not as hard. And I’ve fought a giant bug
The Jedi of the High Republic were fighting the Nihl which I believe were essentially space vikings.
I guess Charlie doesnt realize part of the fun is the cosmetics
Charlie doesn't like fun
I’ve never seen this man look so defeated
The fact that he wasn’t hold force pushing all the droids to death before jumping down is hilarious.
Let’s just fight this nearly impossible boss with as much obstacles as possible 😂 talk about impatient lol
love these small clips
I hate when a game’s solution to a harder difficulty is making every enemy a damage sponge. It’s such a cheap and artificial way to create a challenge.
The frog boss fight is essentially every boss fight from the surge lmfao
the frog made me hate life too - it took me many many tries but not as long as moist here lol the best method I found was the saber and blaster stance as the blaster can stop its attacks
He didn’t have that stance and he’s on the hardest difficulty.
Don't forget that you have to fight two of them at once later.
I started to watch at @2:44:00 and made it a goal to beat it before Charlie and it worked 😁 Then I cheered on Charlie afterwards
I tried this boss once and decided to come back later and still haven’t returned
can’t wait to fight oggdo bogdo bogdo 😂
gets upset he doesnt get a perk from frog then skips the jedi trial thats gives u a perk lmao
