Not on Grandmaster. Crossguard is just gonna get you killed way more often and that's not what most people are looking for on a first run. Especially not dedicated Souls fans.
I was hoping someone in chat would tell him about the stim that’s in Domas shop. He could’ve had an extra to go into the fight with and maybe had an easier time with an extra heal.
If he didn't upgrade his health and still got oneshotted from every attack I actually think he would have given up against the duo. Or it would have taken him like 10 hours full of attempts. Even the "two" times he beat it he would have been dead long before if he kept the same HP as before against Spawn in the cave.
The way I eventually beat it on every difficulty is use max blaster stance with ricochet shot, the shot will stun both when you hit one for 1.2 sec then you can get 2-3 swipes with lightsaber before you need to run and repeat, equipping this strategy with marksmanship and ambidextrous perk make it lethal , it worked very very well from master and down in difficulty, it still requires some luck on grand master but it was what worked for me

@@danksley unless you can kill one with one clip, its still extremely risky to go in for melee. the combo i listed above is more reliable. you can't interrupt both at the same time usually.

To be honest ive noticed over years of playing games like this and rhythm games etc.....the first Run for some reason is always the best run. After that it all just goes down hill till you finally beat it lol

But I just finished Dark Souls for the first time and most of my deaths were so bullshit and random that I just laughed at them. I found the bosses too easy though, the hard part was getting to them. 1:40:39, For anyone wondering, Mother talzin, the leader of the night sisters, was one of the few people that palpatine actually feared could ruin his plans. Before general grievous, he wasn’t even sure if an entire droid army would even be enough to defeat her. So yeah, her students, the nightsisters, or in this case, sister, would be fairly strong.
I found that the blaster/saber stance is best for this boss fight imo. You can interrupt their unblockables with a charged shot, just be patient and wait for your openings.. I even had that lock on camera glitch after one died and still beat it!
I use a mix of blaster stance and cross guard. I would block with blaster which refilled my shots and also refilled my force meter so I can throw the cross guard at them.
That's how it is with every soulslike. Optional stuff is going to be way easier by the end of your run, even in Lies of P and Sekiro. The way to check this is to try a run without upgrading the character, it was so brutal that I gave it up after killing Ape. Even no charm+bell on playthrough 10 was easier lol, because my character was maxed.

funny enough... i went for the xbox series x version of this. a bit of frame drop here and there, and of course texture load-in. but those never bothered me when playing cause the game is too much fun.

We all know that it was Oggdo Bogdo who instructed Jar Jar Binks, the one who really pulled the strings behind Sheev and Darth Plagueis. Vader was Sheev's apprentice, so ofc he would lose to Oggdo. So would Cal if he wasn't controlled by the player.
1:05:41 is by far the most incredible display of gaming skill I've ever seen. Took me a while to beat these jokers. This is a next level dance he does with these two. These guys are harder than any souls boss, imo. They're so unforgiving it's not even funny.

The sheer amount of bullshit I encountered during this fight was amazing. On one of my runs, I killed one of them and the other stood on top of its corpse (unbeknownst to me) and plucked me out of the sky with its tongue. Suffice to say, I was livid.
The only reason I was able to beat this is because I found these guys at the end of the game. I had the dash ability and like 11 stims and still I died a bunch

I'd imagine most people just have it playing in the background or on a second monitor. I can't imagine someone gluing their focus to someone fighting the same boss for 2 hours live
Just watching other people’s play through the cross guard is definitely my choice it is very slow but if your patient the amount of knock back and stuns it does more than makes up for it’s lack of speed also it’s funny af to just run up to the little guys and launch them across a room with a single strike
Yea I played the whole game with crossguard once I got it. It was a pain because it was too slow at times though. Still, it's the most brutal and I love it.
One thing I noted while doing this fight is that while you have two of them, they are less aggressive individually until you kill one of them. I just focused on 1 while keeping the other at bay. After that it just becomes spawn round 2.

Yeah I definitely think the Oggdo bosses are a lot easier if you come back later in the game but it's a lot more satisfying when you kill them early.
