Despite the sci-fi trappings and the Celldweller aesthetic, this song is clearly rooted in the here or now. Everything is falling apart, the people at the top are as worthless as the people at the bottom, everyone is divided, literal nuclear war is on the horizon and communication has broken down into bitter echo chambers. It really does feel like we're heading for a societal collapse even if we don't nuke ourselves back to the stone age as a new dark age is ushered in, with as the lyrics say, a smile.

I've listened to this song on constant repeat since I found it a week ago. It's like breathing in stained glass, so painful yet indescribably beautiful.

The slight “So Long Sentiment” riff in the background gave me the most insane amount of chills as soon as I heard it, growing up on celldweller it really made my inner child happy!🖤🔥
Satellites is so filled with emotions for me and I relate to it so much. I love this album so much and what a way to end the album with this song. I enjoyed every song I listened to… Satellite’s will be an album that I always will cherish. It’s one of my favorite albums ever.
That... was beautifully heartbreaking. It's clear that the turbulence and turmoil of these past few years have influenced this album immensely, but this song most of all feels so very personal and emotional. The Offworld homage also feels so bittersweet now, truly makes you wish you could go someplace else, with all that's happened since then.
I can't think of a better way to cap this entire album off, and what a journey it's been to see its completion. Thank you for Satellites, Klay. It got me (and so many others) through some truly grim times.

What has happene to klayton in the past few years?
The verse at the end almost makes one wish for simpler times. 2017 indeed was such a time.
@@Bearforceone Surely many things, not least of which being the madness we're all embroiled.
@@Bearforceone Klay started moving studios just before COVID happened. Spent around 3 years trying to get setup in LA, having issues with flaky contractors not finishing his studio there, among other roadblocks. It's part of why this album took as long as it did.
He's back in Detroit and seems to be doing a lot better now.
@@Fazeshyft Very, very true. 2017 was a year of great, positive change in my life, and Klayton's music, Offworld especially at the time, was often there to keep me motivated and dreaming.
Different as things are now, I'm still glad we got such a powerful album in the end. I get the feeling I'll be looking back on Satellites just as fondly in some years time.
I haven't heard Celldweller in YEARS, this song hits all the right spots. Love it

The whole unexpectedly emotional vibe of this song and the emotionally driven lyrics just hits me in the feels so hard and hits home for me on an extremely personal level, and is kinda giving me some dark Depeche Mode vibes, which is another win!! And I love the callback and the connection Satellites has to Offworld!! Satellites has been 5 years in the making, and it was absolutely well worth the wait. Amazing work Klayton!!🖤

This was so unexpected… and I loved this … so many Easter eggs for fans who grew up loving klaytons work from circle of dust and loved the throwback to off world including the ship… been so long but it’s been worth it to hear new songs from him

2018 - The Onyx, The End of Time

But there were none for a long time, so at 2020, 2021 Christmas I nostalgiclly re-listened previous scandroid tracks
However, this year The End of the World came out, which vibes spark with winter atmosphere, so the tradition continues! Thanks, Klay

Captivating and such a beautiful song. I love the diverse style. Its like you can spot the emotional journey in every song. This one married them all together and every time I watch a video I just want to see it continue. Amazing work, amazing animations, such a wonderful flow I'm happy to have live rent free in my head.

The End of the World = Offworld v.2. The rest of the album sounds like End of an Empire, probably some unreleased tracks from the album itself.

I wish I could say the words on how to describe the soul questioning lyrics that are more than just Celldweller lore (especially seeing the ruined structures of the Circle of Dust's Phoenix), but nothing can describe on how cosmically beautiful and melancholic the words are for this song.

How do you know if it's slower tempo? I have a theory it could be IRIA demo reworked. Watch me be TOTALLY wrong, but you never know.
@@Jacob45678Liam Klayton has described the song as similar to stuff like Just Like You and Under My Feet. So I'm definitely expecting something slower and more emotional than the more upbeat tempo of the rest of the Satellites stuff.
I love IRIA though, would love to see that finished one day. Too catchy to just remain a demo.

Best story in my life. I don't know how to explain it. It feels like a long story, divided into parts, like a series. Some of which ignite the brightest feelings, and some make the heart break and shed tears as if losing a loved one. I hope that you, Сelldweller, will continue this odyssey.

А по мне так очень слабо. Ну вот прям последнюю песню можно было бы сделать супер эмоциональной, раскрыть все проблемы, что человечество имеет сейчас: войны, кризисы, эгоистичность и показав все это через роботов и к чему это ведет. Вместо этого мы имеем какую-то абстракцию: что-то робот, зачем-то приземлился, куда-то идет.
Ну и анимация в клипе конечно хромает. Думаю, отметят многие.
По итогу альбома, ощущение, будто Клейтон уже перегорел. Можно понять его, но хочется, чтобы под конец карьеры он сделал по-настоящему народный альбом, слушая именно что свое сердце. Чтобы альбом был близок всем, чтобы это было его высказывание о всех тех противоречиях, что творятся в мире. Сейчас то самое время, как никогда, когда люди нуждаются в такой музыке и таком искусстве в целом.
