We spent 2 weeks travelling around Bangkok, before travelling to the south and spending time on some of Thailand's most beautiful islands. I'm Katie, I live in the UK with my husband Jon and our 3 children aged 13, 10 and 7. I love photography, videography, generally being creative, and being outside whenever I can. We also love to travel and see the world. I've been online for nearly 13 years, which is just crazy, and I am really proud of the lovely community I have built up on here and Instagram.

I hear you on wanting to brush teeth while traveling… a little tip, I always carry Xylitol gum with me when traveling - it cleans your teeth decently if you aren’t able to brush your teeth right away. Good for kids too and helps with the ears popping when the air pressure changes while landing in the plane.
I am only 10 minutes in but had to pause and say I am loving this soooooooooo much. 😊

This was incredible cannot wait to watch the rest. We are going to Thailand in August although not going to Bangkok we are going to some of the other places you visited. We have got so many tips from you so thank you your stories and photography of the trip were fantastic.

For anyone watching and wondering which is best I definitely recommend flying down to the islands over getting a boat which in my experience was extremely uncomfortable and made everyone ill. Pay the extra 😂

Loved watching your video of Bangkok. I spent 3 nights there last March and it was certainly an experience. A hi light of our trip was tuk tuk tour of china town and the temples. We had a fab meal in China Town at a place we would never have found ourselves . I also remember all the fruit especially the baby pineapple .
It’s such a unique city isn’t it? So hard to describe, so busy and over stimulating but not necessarily in a bad way. It was great having a tour guide for Chinatown as it meant we tried places we wouldn’t have tried otherwise- and going around via Tuk Tuk was such a great way of seeing Bangkok.

This is so helpful thank you Katie. We go on honeymoon in 3 weeks to thailand! Just wondering what app did you find best for taxis and did you have to pre agree price? 😊
We only used Grab and it was brilliant, it’s just like Uber if you’ve used that before. You tell it where you are going and it lets you know the price before hand. I found that a lot easier than trying to barter with them or agree on a price with cash. There’s also an app that’s pretty much the same called Bolt, but we really liked Grab so stuck with that one. With Grab you can also give a tip via the app after your ride.
PS have an amazing honeymoon how exciting! 🥰
What kind of camera / lens do you use to vlog? The quality is so nice.

Can you mention the tour company for the private canal tour?
It was the same one for the Tuk Tuk tour I linked them in my description :) they are called Thailand Out and About
Actually we ended up taking the MRT from Sukhomvit and walked to Wat Paknam. It was truly amazing. The artifacts inside the giant Pagoda were incredible
