My favourite smaller story is a Vraksian who sees Chaos slowly seeping in, the last straw being the "allied" World Eaters. He then donned the suit of a dead Krieger and fought for the Emperor in a way to redeem himself.
In a weird sorta way I feel bad for the Cardinal since in the very very beginning he seemed like he had valid concerns for the people he was in charge of but ultimately he was a big enough fool to allow himself to be manipulated by those who were truly corrupted and eventually they made him truly corrupted too.
@@frankthetank8050 I used to listen to this while I did baking, professional driving and debt collection, arch has gotten me through some hard times with his lore vids. Nothing like future trench war to keep it all in perspective.
Imagine fighting in the name of the Emperor, seeing your friends die around you, and then seeing your friends that don’t die slowly getting corrupted. It really is the most tragic part of the Siege.
@@mbp1652 in fairness to the Inquisition, they were trying to avoid making the cardinal a martyr. So probably should've used a Venenom temple assassin.
Is there anyone else who finds it rather convenient that the assassin "missed". I know the cardinal had a shield on him, but still, this was pro hit. Then you have the Alfa legion who just happens to be in the neighborhood and able to "lend a hand" A less trusting soul might think the cardinal may have been under other watchful eyes than just those of the Inquisition.
I think I had a rant about this on the OG vid. Shielding is A: a badge of office for a Cardinal B: Assasin have zero exfil plan. Not even a rope or disguise to blend in, or rappel down the tower. This is just one of the copious amounts of "hyper trained " people making mistakes that a normal person would not make with few weeks of training. These are the "hyper trained" people that are supposed to make RL Special Ops troops look like the lowest of the low untrained PDF forces.
Every time you mention the Cardinals name, I just have flashes the number 42 and the Beetlejuice system if you know where I’m pointing in direction, you know
Not fond of the replay using basic editing as "revamp" (I'd be more forgiving if it was an older series like Armageddon) but Arch did not get into politics. Politics got into entertainment and as an entertainment channel, Arch (as well as everyone with functioning eyes and actual care for their respective franchises and fandoms) started fighting back. I'll be blunt: one can take issue with politics and arguments thereof getting involved in pop culture if they wish, but it was not the right or already existing fanbases that started this. That dubious honor for that lies in the left who insisted as far back as the mid 2010s that "everything is political." To complain that the right and said respective fanbases are fighting back is at best to be in denial of how we got here...or to out oneself as supporting those same lefties that instigated this almost a decade ago.
the last time i was this early, Vraks still had sane people living on it.

So Deacon Mamun was literally saying "the imperium has fallen, billions must perish!" - does this imply that the existence of 40Kchan?

There is nothing like angry and sadistic demons raining down from the sky to liven up a boring siege.
Praise the Emperor and his arches! Something to make work tolerable.

Another phrase comes to mind.
There is no such thing as innocence, just degrees of guilt.

Ah yes Cardinal Borgia in 40k, WHAT COULD HAPPEN!?

Slipped into character as Deacon Mamun very easily. Note to self, don't take advice from Arch.
