Hi Iasmina, Thank you for this video. Vellum is a bit pricey, BUT so is hiring designer for your book interior. As with cover design, this is something that warrants great attention. Professional designers use more expensive software, like InDesign, which gives them much more control, but for self publishers, Vellum may be the best option. Not only for the cost, but also for response times. If you do your own formatting you can immediately address any issues that may arise or changes you want to make. If you outsource the design, you have to deal with delays due to correspondence times as well as the designer's scheduling.
I appreciate the video, I really do. I have a question if you don’t mind. When I send my manuscript/book to an editor, how do I send it? Do I format it on Pages(Mac App) or Vellum to create some sort of pdf file to send to the editor?
Then you need to send it as a manuscript format. I talk about it in this video: th-cam.com/video/-0EEQrBCtrI/w-d-xo.html You don't have to do it in Word, Google Docs or Pages work just fine too.

I only know of Amazon KDP's print on demand but if you decide to go with that then yes absolutely it can be shipped anywhere. Also that's such a cute gift idea!

@desertrosereads I mean, with iBooks author I could embed videos (fairytales) along with text. Ebooks are not supposed to be completely static, otherwise a mere pdf would also be just fine… but unfortunately iBook author is discontinued by apple and pages has been updated instead with epub capabilities, which I haven’t explored yet…
Even though you typed in the title of your book on the title, page, when you showed the print PDF it read ‘MyBook’ and your name. That’s the issue I’m having. Why does the book’s actual show?

I was about to buy Vellum but noticed it's only available for Mac.
Pretty wild that they cut out 90% of computer users by not making a Widows version.

the lack of font options seems pretty poor for anyone wanting to make their print copy, never mind the fact it's mac only, lol
They've added a lot more fonts since i made this video, so there's more to chose from now. But yeah the mac only thing is... what it is 😅
