Hi. I have been watching a number of ur useful vidz, thanks. I'm stuck on a design aspect. I am building a 20 foot wide deck with a similarly wide 20 foot deck steps (3 rises). It will be using Trex Transcend composite decking boards so have to use a 12" stringer spacing, so total 21 stringers. It lands on dirt so I will form a concrete pad for the stringer heel plus 2 x pressure treated "feet" as per your advice. The deck is low to ground so I'm using ledger boards off the house slab, with adjustable plastic pedestals to support the joists. My main issue is identifying the spacing requirements for posts that support the stringer ledger and trimmer joist such that the lateral forces on the ledger doesn't cause excessive flexing to the ledger/header. Can you point me to a video, website or advise?
Great video, for the 6 foot stairs, is it possible to get all the measurements? Thanks!
