    Just went back to watch your kayak review video from several years ago. I know you hate those type of videos but the info was priceless. Would be great to hear an updated version!

    Man the fact you didn't use that first fish coming out of the water as a clickbaity thumbnail blows my mind, glad I always watch your vids cause that was one of the most amazing moments I've ever seen on a fishing channel

    I am amazed from video to video and the fishing context changes, how you successfully use jigging to consistently catch quality fish. I feel like I learn a lot watching you!

    Moving to the finger lakes with my wife and family this summer. I absolutely cannot wait to fish these lakes

    • @Triberius
      @Triberius 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depending on what you’re fishing for the Finger Lakes have just about everything freshwater you could want. I landed a 7lbs largemouth on the north end of Cayuga a few weeks ago, I’ve caught Smallies over 5lbs there too. I’ve caught some good sized channel catfish out of there as well. Otisco Lake is good for Bass, Crappie, Tiger Muskies and Walleye. I haven’t fished the other Finger Lakes that much but all of them are excellent depending on what species you are targeting. You’re gonna have a blast.

    • @stripermanly
      @stripermanly 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also inland striper fishing is not as easy from a kayak. Boat traffic and rough conditions make it hard. Add to that, schools generally move long distances and hard to keep up with them. I caught the same hybrid striper on one day more then a mile from where I caught it two hours earlier.

    I fished lake Seneca probably when I was thinking about 10th grade, and I am 54 now so that should tell you how long ago it was. I didn't fish from a boat though all I caught was panfish, just regular sized ones. But I guess hey a fish is a fish sometimes! I might have another comment for you after this because I didn't watch the whole video yet, but you take care, and God bless!

    They're fun; buddy and I did a charter Sunday on Huron and trolled up 6. The only thing we hooked that leapt like that was a steelhead, which proceeded to break off.
    I asked the captain about jigging lakers on Huron (I'd love to try my slow pitch stuff) but they said something about needing to steam out to really deep holes for that sort of thing.

    Awesome video. I'm fishing one lake over from you. I have a great fish finder and I can watch them chase my lure down, chase it up, and come off the bottom and chase it up but I can only get one out of about every 50 to hit. I literally have a fish chase every other cast. I'm going to have to watch your technique I guess because I have tons of fish but not hits.
