Just have to say your hair looks AMAZING in this. Very old hollywood. Looks fuller. And the olive green of that top brings out your eyes. Winning combination!

The Bare Minerals complete cover concealer serum is great for under the eyes. I have a crepy, fine line festival happening under my eyes and this concealer doesn't crease and has great coverage!

I'm loving all of these new makeup videos, but from a derm's point of view! Ciao, L

I LOOOVE the strappy top you've got on, sexy and classy. Also the colour works really well with your skin tone. Atm I'm using Dior fix-it concealer for undereye. I love the built-in primer centre in the tube design. Feels very creamy on the delicate skin around the eyes. For blemish, Amazing Concealer by Amazing Cosmetics. Very pigmented, and stays put.

Love the technique! For anyone who needs really heavy duty coverage but can't find a colour match in Dermablend, I recommend Kevin Aucoin Sensual Skin Enhancer.

Love the IT Cosmetics Redness Concealer for spots and broken capillaries. Very thin and light on the skin but color corrects well.

Wholeheartedly agree about the massive swoop of concealer under eye being so unflattering!
I would greatly appreciate your insight around "beginner's botox", so-to-speak. I am 31 and fastidious about skin and sun care but starting to notice the dreaded train tracks between my eyebrows from years of "concentration face". Where do I begin? How many units? What will a trusted dermatologist ask about and what are warning flags? What does a session entail? I've been down the rabbit hole of online research and it's truly overwhelming to process! (Botox is not something women in my circles discuss openly, so finding a personal recommendation is all but impossible...)
Thanks in advance for the consideration-and your thoughtful, academic approach to cosmetic dermatology.

We did a video on this topic - do take a look....impossible to discuss the finer points of the treatment (units etc) This is where a proper and thorough consutation process with someone reputable should put your mind at ease. It's a very safe and effective treatment when done right.

Why can the face look great without anything, with moisturizer, or even with zinc spf, but the moment any foundation goes on, the skin looks oddly separated or maybe even dryish all over? As if the foundation turns to spider webs on the face. Too graphic? :)

Hi, I was wondering if I might suggest a video idea?
I'm in my early twenties and have become interested in anti-aging skincare. My routine consists of a gentle cleanser, an antioxidant rich serum, matrixyl, and moisturizer followed by sunscreen. At night I cleanse and use a gentle retinoid followed by moisturizer. Twice a week I exfoliate with AHA. I still live with my mother (who knows nothing about skincare, she doesn't even moisturize) and she is CONVINCED that I'm "ruining" my face despite having no evidence. She even claims that I don't need to use sunscreen every day. Normally I wouldn't care but it is so frustrating to me because she's never done any research and yet acts like skincare is "bad" for me. Could you make a video explaining preventative skincare to people who have no idea how it works or why it's good for a person? Thanks!

You look exceptionally gorgeous today . Great video . I would only advise that you clean the brush on the concealer pen . We tend to wash our make up brushes but not these which are prone to bacteria . 😍

    Hello,
So you do not use setting powder for setting your under eye concealer? Thanks :)

    • @drsambunting8178
      @drsambunting8178 7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

No, I prefer to keep it 'workable' so I can reapply....powdering just always tends to emphasise fine lines in my experience, no matter how fine.

Dr Sam Bunting absolutely true. Sometimes it creates lines they did not even exist before. Thanxs for replying :)

I absolutely love your videos!! Can you please tell me what your views on SD Alcohol and Menthol in products are? There is so much conflicting information on the internet!! I love Murad Acne products but I don't want to use something if I am damaging my skin!! Thank you!!

I think it’s fine unless you have really dry skin. I think the studies saying it’s harmful were done on skin cell cultures in a test tube. The dermtv doctor says it’s fine because it evaporates from the skin. Paula’s choice is against it but I don’t trust her because she’s not a doctor and she sells alcohol free products so her opinions are a conflict of interest.
