You have to admit, it's actually pretty amazing how you can get from downtown Toronto and all the way to the airport just bye taking the train. I never knew this line existed I have to say it's pretty convenient especially are in a wheelchair like myself. Because other types of public transit accessible taxis would be harder to get. I also think that airport exploration it's pretty neat, because there's always little things that you can find along your journey to your flight. When I took my trip to Disney World in 2008 our first flight was from Halifax international airport to Toronto Pearson and then hopped on a connecting flight with WestJet to Orlando Florida. We ended up with a five hour flight delay because of a major snowstorm, and during the delay I decided to go exploring around the airport with my father and we actually found another gate section with a juice bar so we decided to get a drink while we were there.
Prior to COVID-19 it was the best way to get from downtown to YYZ. It ran every 15 minutes and you didn’t have to worry about traffic. In the afternoons after work was packed with people trying to get to the airport to catch a flight. It’s biggest competition was Uber, but from the downtown core you were looking at a 50$ ride and traffic.
Used UPX in September 2023. This vid was one of the best i watched before i went as it all seemed very familiar once i got there instead of being a hassle finding where to go. THANK YOU!
I’ll be there next month. I’ve missed Toronto. First time taking UP, looks so much better than the old bus. Staying at the Royal York for my first time as well. Can’t wait.
I jump on this from Bloor Dundas subway station if I need express-speed to get down to Union. It's cheap enough for that one-hop ride - there's a whole crowd that does this. You can see how GO regional express rail is so needed; glad Metrolinx is finally expanding this properly
That was my first time to go to the up Express and I like the train because that my favourite one and I go there on my birthday with my mom and my sister
Take in Pearson is connected via this train and trains are connected to the underground path and the path connects many workplaces and condos. It also connects the suburbs like Mississauga by GoTrain and then theres the indoor parking buildings at the gotrain stations in mississauga. So technically you could go from your garage in Mississauga to the gotrain station to union station, to the Path, to pearson then catch a flight to where you want in the world all whilst remaining indoors. dont have to put a coat on in the winter!
Hi Johnny, I really enjoyed this video! I always wanted to see how it would be like to travel on the UP Express Air Rail from Union Station to the Toronto Pearson Airport it was fun but for me a little pricey. I have taken the Kipling Airport Express bus from the airport to Kipling Station and I have to say, it was a very nice ride! Thank you, this was cool!👍👍
Love your walking video's Johnny !!!! You take your viewer's and transfix them into your,as if you were there, walking ADVENTURES !!!,Please keep up this great work, Stay Healthy, prosperous, and always BE SAFE !!!!
You are so good with your description. Once my flight is leaving while the UP Express is running, I use it because I live near to Union Station. It would be hard for me to go to Kipling because I always have a suitcase and a carry on.
Recommend showing the Kipling Airport Express bus, just for comparison ... I find either UP or that bus acceptable options for travelling to YYZ airport.
Hey Johnny . GREAT video, awesome views & helpful info . Your funny too ! 16:51 . Sure is a lot of graffiti . Liked the round metal sculpture speaking about kindness & forgiveness at the end . Be safe . Mark (Toronto) 👍💙
I live at Yonge and Bloor rather pay bit more and go to Union at take the UP, rather than take subway to Kipling and then the bus especially when lugging luggage around plus UP more comfortable
I’ve heard about this line, I may not be from Toronto but I remember hearing about expensive prices for the UP express. I still think it’s a cool way to get into the downtown core
Thanks for sharing this informative video. I'll be visiting Toronto and would like to use this train because my hotel is near YYZ. UP Express from Pearson to Union and back would be nice if the cost is not too much. In today's prices, can I get UP Express ticket cheaper than the one from the TVM?
Thanks for this. I definitely will be taking the TTC to Terminal 3 after viewing this. The price is not the deciding factor but the not dealing with Union and all the waiting for trains. Looked comfortable though! Much appreciated to see an honest glimpse into travelling this route.

Sorry I missed the Premiere, I was busy 'working.' UP Express is good addition to TO transit options. But really need a direct subway link from Pearson to downtown. That would be Next Level. Lisbon has a great subway system with airport terminal, you are connected to the whole city. Come on Ontario and Toronto, you have a chance to make Toronto a true destination. All it takes is a little imagination - Ok never mind.
as someone who comes from ottawa, a city where the airport is basically cut off for anyone without a car, the UP is an absolutely incredible service. quick, no traffic, and muuuuch cheaper than an uber or taxi!
I was always thinking about living in Canada but after watching some of your videos it looks like Canada is only full of Indians like you live in India not Canada... damn
FYI in the video I referred to a train to the airport from Kipling station, it's actually a bus (missed it on the edit). Cheers!
@@mikelandry3375 Using the bus/subway from Pearson you can be downtown in 50 minutes for $3.25!

it still is

Hey Johnny, you are a busy man. Here we go again. We love you man. I'm getting addicted to your journies.
I’ll be there next month. I’ve missed Toronto. First time taking UP, looks so much better than the old bus. Staying at the Royal York for my first time as well. Can’t wait.
Thanks for taking us on the ride my kids enjoyed it allot keep up the good work stay safe and take care 😎

I love taking this train to the airport. The station is just beside where I live. So convenient.

Wicked video dude. Always wanted you to do a upx train video. Thank you. I'm a big fan. Love your voice dude
I love your filming style! Keep up the good work.
Very helpful video, thanks! Terminal 2 was demolished - confuses a lot of passengers why it's 1 and 3, haha
wonderful exactly what I needed to know for my upcoming trip.thanks
Hi, I’m in Toronto and I will be using UP on Sunday heading to the airport. Is this platform still in use or did they move the platform?
That was great, thanks Johnny, I've wondered what that trip would be like.
great ride Johnny I sat down with a coffee at my computer and watched it while eating breakfast!
Recommend showing the Kipling Airport Express bus, just for comparison ... I find either UP or that bus acceptable options for travelling to YYZ airport.
OMG U PASSED MY OLD APARTMENT AND I SAW THE LRT u just earned a new subsreeber
Thanks for this interesting video!

i hope i could find the Pearson Airport to Union Station.
Hey Johnny, looks like I made a cameo in the vid 😝 👏 all love.
I will rewatch this video later on cheers 🥂 🙂😃

Great Video !!!
I’ve heard about this line, I may not be from Toronto but I remember hearing about expensive prices for the UP express. I still think it’s a cool way to get into the downtown core
The price is not too expensive anymore. It is 12.35CAD from the airport to Union Station.

Johnny....some trees wouldn’t go astray in the Plaza in front of Union Station....

Maybe im going there again on my birthday

Also I just only go around but I did not go inside in the union staion we just only go around for 2 time or one times I don't know
THX JOHNNY :)))
It seems anyone can access the terminals now. No longer restricted to actual passengers, right?
Thanks for doing this! The UP Express website is lousy both as regards clarity of the train’s location relative to Union as well as payment options.
No worries!
Are you required to tap off with Presto when you get to Pearson?
UP should also serve as a "commuter" line providing relief for people living in Toronto's west side.
Sorry I missed the Premiere, I was busy 'working.' UP Express is good addition to TO transit options. But really need a direct subway link from Pearson to downtown. That would be Next Level. Lisbon has a great subway system with airport terminal, you are connected to the whole city.

Eventually there will be a connection on Line 5. Will take longer to get downtown with that but at least it will be super frequent and way cheaper.
Bagus sekali vlog nya 👍 saya merasa berada di belakang anda

At least the VIA train is well connected to the LRT (when it's running).
Ottawa does have a bus line connecting its airport to the downtown. 97 number i think
How many speed it can reach, I took at four times but still can’t feel the speed lol
More airport videos please! YYZ and YTZ
There's one coming of BCN.
I'm Pretty sure that Women at 6:49 is my XGF lol
And my aunt work at the airplane
Hi
Do you live in Toronto Canada?
because I live in Toronto Canada.
And can someone PLEASE help Union Station get better signs that actually help people get to where they are going.
They are doing that now. It’s actually funny, I think they are over correcting because now there are lots of signs.
🥰🥰🥰
Theoretically, 15 mins is all it takes
Not realistic though given people have to get to the platform on time and not cut it so close they might miss it.
Virtually all your tedious criticism of the service is irrelevant because I'm staying at the Royal York.
21:00 - 23:20
I was always thinking about living in Canada but after watching some of your videos it looks like Canada is only full of Indians like you live in India not Canada... damn
Stay out of large cities and you'll see a less Indian side of Canada.
The train station and train look very nice. What drab, filthy and ugly scenery though... dang.
Welcome to Southern Ontario where everywhere that isn't Toronto practically looks like the Rust Belt
Once you leave downtown core the ride to the airport looks like in a 3rd world country
