Ok, that scout loadout could be made into a base for a subclass, like, idk, "the protagonist" functiouning: "default loadout": pistol or shortstop (to be functional in game) pretty boys pocket pistol Candy Cane or Stock. @@Euenise Yeah, it was a bummer. The audio has all been recorded by the actors -- but we have to dig it up to see how far we got into editing it. So, there are just basic costs associated with finishing the edit, adding sound design and then the animation alone. I think if we could find an animator who would donate their time to finishing it, and we thought it could get a big audience, we might consider trying to finish.
Man, that was great. I feel like I would've watched the entire series if Machinima did greenlight it. Growing up, I watched a lot of shows from them, and I feel I would've absolutely loved Escape from teamfortress.
I'm curious, if you could contact a TF2 SFM maker (Like Winglet for example) and got the VA's back, do you think you could restart the production of this if we donated money?

I have several questions, mostly on how the world works. Clearly, this is following more SFM rules where certain liberties are taken, such as RED Scout insta killing Gary, Alissa performing parkour and one-shotting Heavies, & the pistol acting like an actual pistol. This makes some wonder if they are in the actual TF2 game universe, or transported in the actual game. If it's the former, this makes a lot of sense (may eliminate some tension/cause problems later if Medic can decimate three Heavies at once, but it's fine for now) & works the same as any SFM where more 'realism' & freedom is applied to movement, combat, & interactions. If it's the latter, this creates a whole slew of problems, such as what other players see when a Femedic (BTW, not complaining, but confused about the inclusion of Fem & Bot models) kills them in one shot while jumping off the walls or a Soldier getting killed in three shots by the pistol. I'm sure this would have been explained throughout the series & maybe made more sense if we had the full first episode. Overall, I'm very intrigued & interested in this idea & what it could have been.
This was so amazing! And even for being done 10 years ago, the animation and comedy hold up today! Thank you so much for sharing this, I was so happy to see this released. I hope we get to see more!

Honestly kinda curious how you guys would've handled a L4D series if you got more access to Valve's IPs - a few of Gary's line deliveries (like at 1:42 when piecing together that he's "Douchebag") sound like a dead ringer to Nick.

i am SO EXCITED to see this im 9 days late ik but STILL ive been waiting for this pilot to get found for YEARS, ever since ive heard of it i wanted it found i wish this series got more episodes (and funding) because this actually looks really cool and it has a really interesting story i like how Simon's personality is more cautious and logical, to contrast Gary's more douchebag, badass hero-wannabe kind of personality!

They sadly aren’t as the project was cancelled with only the first one being done… Its like we already had this situation of a tf2 series, just to be cancelled due to the project taking to long…
Well this was certainly an interesting little gem to find out finally got found. Really liked the shot of red team on the roof, especially with the two red bots, that was an unexpected treat to be sure (especially since they're entirely unused not just in pvp, but in the whole game), but the whole shot was just really well made. Certainly far from perfect, but its a shame this never went anywhere, seems like it would've been fun at least. Even seeming to be tackling elements from a few of those recent Gmod/SFM ARG series years beforehand.

I love how Gary just sounds like he’s totally Scout will Simon is nothing like Spy. Then I remember Spies also hide a lot, hate getting shot, and are irritating.
There are some animation errors, but the main characters really charismatic that I don`t really care for those and jokes not bad, eather) Totally would`ve watch this series, if it`s ever gonna be pick up again! Hope it will)
It was lost media for years. Basically there was an imdb listing for tf2 movie that didnt exist and fans traced it back to this studio and found that it never got released. It wouldve been released in the early 2010s.

I can't believe Gary got the best class, Scout. He will always be the fastest.
