Just a thought, RJ Balaji was saying this in his other interviews too “na itha panna maaten” to certain things. There are things you don’t have to do if you don’t want to but it’s always nice to try right? Even in this interview he said I wouldn’t accept it if someone suggests releasing an OTT film in the theatre. It’s better to objective. If the final output is good enough for theatrical release then you should go for it Balaji. Don’t restrict yourself too much. Good luck for your future projects

Soubhin Sahir has done in a similar way. I totally get BR. It is difficult to move from a comedy image. Like Jagathy Sreekumar but with his experimentation he was able to break the image. I feel audience is up to see an actor in any challenging and different role. Santhanam made a mistake because his quality of movies were degrading. RJ Balaji has kept a good balance of both!

While we can talk about Gay relationships, however nobody has audacity to even utter the word Lesbian relationship. Is it male chauvinism even in LGBTQ. While talking about relationships, it’s very important that a story with solid screenplay and characters needs a theme which has LGBTQ, otherwise the movie will be a social awareness one without commercial value. Why not think of same Sampath Raj and Arvind Akash from Goa movie as Gay couple and take a story that they migrated to abroad and that land allowed them to get married and have kids and they decide to come to India for some reasons and weave a story and drama around their relationship being accepted here and it will be very interesting drama. Public will accept it if the director can pull it off. BR & RJ think of it.
