Hi! I find your video very useful.. you will see that your new life will be wonderful and this channel of yours will give you so much satisfaction.. a hug and have a good life ❤
Thanks Vanessa!😊I loved the video, although I am Canadian, and the procedure is even more complicated😪 I so wish to be able to live in Sweden one day...till then, your videos help me maintain this "yes, it is possible" feeling and mindset!!
YES! EXACTLY! That is what I wish for... that you believe in yourself and that your dreams can come true 😍🥰❤ I can imagine that it is vine more complicated for every non-EU Citizen, but even for you you find a lot of info on the Skatteverket.se website. And I'm sure if you send a nice E-Mail to them, asking your relevant questions, they will be happy to help you ❤ I wish you all the best for your dreams coming true 🥰🤗❤
I'm a Swede and I watched the whole video, and enjoyed it a lot! I found your channels a few weeks ago, seen pretty much all your videos and I really have to tell you that you are so brave, not only for moving to a new country but also leaving that "this is what it's supposed to be"-life behind. I dream about doing the same, but still within Sweden (to northern Dalarna to be more specific, where we have a cottage), and you are an inspiration! :)
OMG!!! WHAT A COMPLIMENT thank you so, so much!!! That makes me so, so happy to read! Really 😍❤❤❤ Thank you so much for sharing this and I wish you, from the bottom of my heart, that your dreams come true! I'ms are you can do this! And Dalarna was our Plan B. It is - in my humble opinion - one of the most beautiful areas of Sweden ❤
Shopping: Shop local! We are moving to a bit south of Gävle, and we try to shop food locally. Many farms sell their produce from small farm shops. It helps the local farmers and you get produce you can see how it's produced. More expensive than large food industry foods, yes, but a lot of this is pretty eco-friendly. It's also a nice way to meet your local people.
@@_Wolfsbane_ true! We also have some locals farms that offer their food here. I think they are pretty easy to fond everywhere. It's such a precious thing here in Sweden 🥰❤️ Thank you for sharing and contributing! ❤️
The cool thing about small farms is, that they can often sell their fresh stuff for the same price as the stores, as they just skip a ton of dealers in the supply chain. Even exchange is sometimes possible. When i find the time to bake bread, i can exchange the bread for some fresh milk and eggs, fresh vegetables, honey, meat... You just need to go around and talk to the people ☺
Thank you so much for this video. It was really helpful. I’m moving back to Norway I’m immigrating to Norway, because of this last election with Trump in the United States and prop possibly Lucy my Social Security so I have lives and work in Norway before but I have also looked very seriously at moving to Sweden, so I really appreciation all the time and effort that you put into this video and all your videos that I watch I really I can see how incredibly beautiful the north of it of Sweden is thank you again.
What a honest video, full of love and experiences! Especially with the distrust if you are a stranger, you raised an important Thema. Sweden is a transparent country and you have a easy time to get information about someone. If it’s not possible to get informations about you, everything will be harder. At least in the north. It’s mainly important then, when you try to find a job, so it can be really really hard to find one and your chances raise more, if you are not anonym. Because of a working contract itself is there the possibility about a coordination number-so you are allowed to work and to get this number, you don’t need a contract ❤
Thank you so much for sharing! And yes, I have read about the coordination number too, but unfortunately I couldn't really grasp the concept of it. I thought about talking about it, but it wouldn't have been something useful, as I don't really understand, nor have any experiences with it 😅 So it's good you shared that! Thank you! 🥰
@ the concept is, that you are not a stranger anymore. So then you are allowed to work Legal and receive payment. You are also allowed then to open a bank account. But it’s an restricted account, so you can’t use wish or create a Bank ID so far I know. It’s just to be able to get and send money in “normal” amounts. And of course you haven’t the benefits you have, if you have the real personal number.
Great video Vannesa, as always. This time less beauty and more useful info. Truly appreciated by us. Same as you, we were searching to find more useful info, a guide, if you like and didn't find anything. Well, up until now. Perhaps one more info could have gone in and that is the need of address before you can apply for personnummer? I guess it's pretty obvious but could be useful to some. It does look a bit more paperwork is involved when immigrating to Sweden. However, I think it is worth it in the end. Anyway, thank you once more and see you next time :). Much love & light S&Z ♥
Thank you! I'm glad you found it helpful 🥰 yes, you need a permanent adress in Sweden, if you want the Personnummer. That's also why renting an AirBnB is just an terminate, like time wise limited option. It's only useful to be already in Sweden when you are then buying a house/ renting a place so you get that permanent adress. Sending you much love ❤️🥰
Thank you Vanessa. I would also mention to learn the language, that applies of course for every country you move into. Although most Swedes speak English, you feel more integrated or ‘at home’ if you can speak the language.
Yes, I agree 100%. That one is a quite challenging part for me, as I'm not in contact with any customers or colleagues. I'm learning, and I think I understand quite a lot, but I can't speak soooo much and get shy quite fast and then - of course - because Swedish people are extremely kind and really don't want to make anyone uncomfortable, they switch to English 😅❤ It's really sweet, but I know that it's my skills I need to improve, not the Swedish kindness towards strangers 😄🥰 I hope to be able to go to the SFI course next year 😊
@@LagomHemma Hi Vanessa. First of all I want to correct my comment. “I THINK you feel more integrated or at home if you speak the language”. Because I don’t have any experience with that. And about the learning, I know it can be challenging, I am learning the language too. Maybe you can kindly ask, if you are comfortable enough to try and speak the language, if they can continue to speak Swedish with you? Thank you again for all the advice and tips.
