So true as a mother when I saw my child behaving like me without even being around during my breaks made me realize I needed help bc I was setting the tone. Had to be accountable and not use trauma as an excuse
He's most definitely a liar. His mom thought he was in medical school getting his Masters, come to find out, it's film school. Then, he's supposedly at school 7 days a week, for a massive amount of hours, per day. He lied about telling his family about the engagement from fear of judgement. The son's concerns lead him to call his grandmother because he couldn't talk to his mom, yet, she was trying to make the point, to override her son's concerns, with but the have a pretty good relationship. Her son will not be a child, for much longer, she's going to put him a position to defend her, against a man who has PTSD, that could blink out and snap.
I am around military personnel everyday all day, my husband is 20 years retired, my daughter is 4 years in the Air Force, his PTSD started with his family NOT the military!!!!! His whole family has ISSUES!!!!! She Needs To Depart this Relationship!!!!!!

I disagree with the therapist... Anyone with an axis two diagnosis...ptsd, borderline, antisocial, narcissism...is to be avoided relationship wise at all cost! They are unpredictable and potentially dangerous. It's too much of a gamble.

I’m so glad she chose her child because so many women don’t and children suffer horribly because of that.

It's always a red flag to me personally when ppl/couples are super upbeat like these two were at first. It's like they are desperately trying to sell you a version of themselves that is not authentic.

This is a clear example of the importance of marrying well. A person may love their partner, but they are also signing up for the family and attaching children to that mess. It's more than jus the partner, it's the family and their nonsense too!

Justin's family handles things loudly and negatively.
Tselane family handles things calmly and level-headed.
Two very serious issues; Justin lied to her( he tell his mother),
Niles, safe space( his home) is no longer that and he's concerned about his mother deeply.

I disagree with the therapist... Anyone with an axis two diagnosis...ptsd, borderline, antisocial, narcissism...is to be avoided relationship wise at all cost! They are unpredictable and potentially dangerous. It's too much of a gamble.
All this PTSD going around. They need to stay away from people.
I saw another clip and I thought Tselane was being unreasonable. Watching this full episode, in the first 10 minutes, I say RUN ma’am. That family has communication issues.
Justin and his family need therapy… individual and family therapy- we talk about the importance of mental wellness openly in these days and it’s readily available even on state insurance- BE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN MENTAL WELLNESS!!
