    I love that Nigel refers to the roads as jaggety. My other half calls them jaggetted. Mungo is great. And you really nailed that sunset.

      That’s funny I thought he was the only one. It’s actually “Jaggedy Arse”

    G'day Adventurous One's
    Enjoyed this video very much, thanks for taking the time visiting and documenting Lake Mungo as you saw it.
    My wife and I visited the place, back some 43 years ago, the place was in the pre stages of transferring titles from Cattle Station to National Park, but that's not the reason for commenting on this video journey, the reason behind my comment will refer to your time spent in the Newman region, but more specifically "Kalgan Pool' when you visited the place a year or more ago.
    You say you both enjoy going to places which featured in movies that you enjoyed watching, if you Google "The Japanese Story" find the watch video link somewhere in the blurb on the whole production, sit back and watch the movie.
    I am sure you will get a real sense of ~ been there done that, mate.
    Thanks again for taking us along for the ride ~ Yep, been there done that too!
    Safe travels : Joe Fury

      @nigelandsueadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Joe, and thanks for the reminder of the Japanese Story. I think Nigel told me about the movie when we went there, and he has seen it, but I haven’t. I meant to watch it back then and completely forgot!
      Thanks for coming along on the journey!

    First solo trip I made was mungo , stayed at the station in the shearer’s room.
    And drink a bit to much with the manager.
    2015 was the year

    Hi Guys, isn’t Mungo National Park so special and different. Many years ago I did a road trip to Mildura and one day decided to go to mungo. It was a 45 degree day in Mildura and even hotter at Mungo. I drove out there in that heat in my little 2wd Hyundai excel and with no reception. Omg didn’t know any better at the time but when I think about it now it was such a bad idea 🫣 We were the only ones there and couldn’t venture too far because of the heat, anyway we made it back alive 😂 and I’d love to go back again. Saw much more on your episode than I did when I was there. 😊

    • @nigelandsueadventures
      @nigelandsueadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow that would have been an epic adventure! Those little cars can do amazing things though, I used to put my Kia Rio through some crazy roads. I can’t imagine being out there in that heat though, there’s no shade! I hope you had good aircon in the car

    Have recently been there, we were told, by a guide the reason the Chinese were out there was the Station owners couldn't get any Australians to build the wool shed,so they brought Chinese to do the job, so why change the name it's part of our history

    Hi guys, I just looked up the reason you cant fly drones in national parks. It disrupts the natural behaviour of the animals causing stress and disturbance.

    • @nigelandsueadventures
      @nigelandsueadventures  ปีที่แล้ว

      That would do it!! It’s the same in most national parks in the country. No drones.

    Why not change name “Australia “ back to Bandaiyan? I think it’s insensitive comment on changing the wall of China name.

  • @susandale7006
    @susandale7006 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Why cant you put a drone up, its not like you are looking into someone yard.
    If it was me i would of put it up , who going to stop you.

    • @nigelandsueadventures
      @nigelandsueadventures  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There’s a guy in Tassie who has just copped a big fine for flying his drone in a Parks and Wildlife managed reserve, they found out by watching his TH-cam videos! We know lots of people do it, and post the videos, but we can’t afford a big fine like that.

      Dip shits that don't care about anyone else enjoying the serenity have stuffed it up for all of us. In the middle of nowhere just taking in the environment and then, typically some dudes and dudetes with red or green P plates on need to blast out skank music....
