In Samskritam the pronunciation of sounds is very important because the meaning of words changes drastically if the words the not pronounced correctly. So, #vak shuddhi is important. So, it is best to learn Sanskrit sounds pronunciation from authentic sources.

In the booklet of Central Sanskrit University on page 5, it's printed:
"(ii) Combination of two same vowels is known as Long Vowels. Among Short vowels, first four vowels have their long vowels. L(ऌ) is deprived of its long."
However, ऌ has a प्लुतस्वररूपं written as ऌ३। I have come across ऌ written as ॡ . Could you please enlighten me about this?

@@subramaniamparameshwaran5831 Namaste. Just check the logic. Hraswa is one matra, deergha is 2 maatras and pluta is 3 matras. If I put आ३ will it not become अ + 4 matras? Because there is one extra matra in आ. ऐ४ औ४ is correct because ऐ is अ + इ and औ is अ + उ. So here it will be 4 matras. My teacher Dr.Tilak Rao is an authority in vyakaranam. I checked my notes again and whatever I have put in the video is correct.
