im pretty sure the 2 figures are based on the manga, and in the manga Star Platinum is depicted a lot more purple than in the anime, so that's probably why (also, the reason its "STAR PLATINUM THIRD" is because he's the third color varient of that figure, first is green, second is blue (my personal favorite) and third is purple)
