In movies, aliens have mostly always been portrayed as highly advanced beings with incredible technological advancements centuries ahead of ours, but I have always wondered, what if *we* are those advanced aliens to other aliens? Like imagine a movie with aliens coming to another planet with life that is barely developed, but the aliens are _us_. Maybe life exists out there and it is just waiting for us to find it instead of the other way around.
Actually, some scientists have proposed the idea that *we* are one of the universes first civilizations, because the universe is, in theory, still pretty young, and other civilizations might simply not have had time to develop yet. Those "ancient alien races" you see in fiction? That's us.
I'm just happy about the possibility of someone out there thinking I'm cute simply for the species I am. It just makes me feel really appreciated. Being the last means you can profit from the inventions others made before you. None of those situations is bad. It just depends on the way you look at them.
In order to make the second to last one messed up, all you have to do is include the likely probability of poachers, exotic pet smugglers, illegal breeding farms, and rich politicians who would pay top dollar to consume human meat as a delecacy.
