Thanks for stopping by! Yeah, I rebuilt the course last winter/spring and finally added backdrops ro look a little more like the desert Southwest. This truck's legit. I just always post glory vids and never all the stuff that happens in real life. It's a really solid performer on the indoor and outdoor courses I have set up. I just built it on Injora high clearance rails and it seems to do breakovers much better than factory rails. I'll upload some more of this actually making the climbs. Thanks again!
@@VermontScaleCustoms I quite like the idea of a performer built around stock rails but yeah, I also have an Injora carbon lcg and a Meus lcg (which I prefer because of the parts it comes with) and both of these trucks have been doing great ! Can' wait to see what you'll do next :) I discovered your channel when I was investigating on how to mount a playmobil bug body !
A lot of my 24 scale builds start out as a set of factory rails and once built they get all the upgrades. I usually do it to get a body mounted for one purpose or another. Kind of like that Beetle build. I had no idea how that was going to work out but it did. I think that was in July of last year. I still have the body but the frame has been rebuilt under multiple trucks since then. These rails might have even been the ones I used. Yeah, I like the Injora chassis for the aluminum cross bars. Those are key. I like the Ramp Crab chassis too but it's all 3D printed stuff other than the CF rails.
@@VermontScaleCustoms I also enjoy the process of upgrading but these days I build from scratch so there’s no « waste ». I bought my first two scx24 used (i.e cheap), modified them and also use some stock parts on other builds, but stock spare parts are more expensive than aftermarket so I go either full chinese or more « boutique » but either way, scratch built. This is also why I like the Meus chassis kit (and most of their parts) because it has both printed magnet mounts and aluminum cross bars ! Best of both worlds. It’s a bit more expensive kit but it has a lot of parts included. The links it comes with are also nice but the fronts are oddly short. Slightly shorter than stock DB links. So you may have to make your own or use something else. Other than that, great piece. Anyway. Until next time :) Or next build ! ✌🏻

I stated new project ordered a fs design fafo chassis cheap od3 trans crazy how it looks next to the Gspeed I have sitting. Gonna take a bit custom sourcing the links etc I’m not good at Facebook stuff…I’ll get it my prob I like to drive so when I get a min I think about builds but spend my time driving lol….so busy w work and kids stuff hard to find time so I drive some day I’ll get a lull in work and get some done!
I always just post the glory videos and never the real deal as it actually happens. I figured a video of nothing but crashes would be funny. Nope, haven't bought anything in a while. Probably won't be on account that I'm not earning any money being caregiver for my mom. Just my bills are covered. At least until the new admin takes over and guts social security and medicare. At which point I'll have to figure out what to do for my mom. Just kind of planning and prepping for that time. Stocking up on stuff, food, water, etc.
It's really the only way to go for the small stuff. I like brushed motors for some stuff if it's set up right but for good low speed control for the little guys, I'm brushless all the way. My 1/18 version of this truck is on a 180 brushed motor with an SCX24 gearbox and that slow crawls amazingly well. I'd compare that to brushless, almost.
