BQOBD - Decent opener, high energy rocker. 6/10 FHTE - Not a bad second track. 5/10 ATSS - Best on the album so far. 7/10 FITK - Agreed, the riff is brilliant, the song, not so much. 5/10 CE - It's an ok track. I can hear the accordion now that you say it! 4/10 WL - Reminds me of later Bruce solo stuff. It's ok. 5/10 TF - Agreed, not really a memorable song. 4/10 COM - Good groove, reminds me of early Bruce solo stuff. 7/10 TA - Not a good song, agree with you both. 1/10 JBMG - Not a bad rocker, decent enough song. 6/10 WW - As with Chains Of Misery, good groove and reminds me of something from Tattooed Millionaire (haha, no way! I wrote this before I heard your review Dan!!!) I really like it.... and GUESS WHAT?? Bruce didn't even write it!!! 6/10 FOTD - Monster, monster, monster live song. It's great on the album, but live? It's phenomenal. 9/10 Overall: 5.4/10 and that makes sense because this is an album I VERY seldom play. It's a forgettable album. I have every Maiden album, and there are very few after SSOASS that I listen to on anything approaching a regular basis. Maybe Brave New World sometimes, but not really these others. The good songs on this album can't drag it up enough to listen to regularly. Don't know the bonus tracks at all. Great vid lads, thank you!! Here's one I don't think I've requested to be analysed yet: Steve Stevens - Atomic Playboys R.I.P. Paul Di'Anno
LOL Thats what I meant about WW sounding like Bruce's first album... it's TOTALLY got a Tattooed Millionaire feel to it... Space Station No5 is the only bonus song worth checking out... I will put Steve Stevens - Atomic Playboys to your list! :)
It always used to bug me as well that the logo is running down the side. I have this album on cassette. It really needed more striking songs , it does not hit hard at all I.M.O
It was quite easy to do actually... they play it every show I've been to and I'm sooooo tired of hearing it live... YOU are now on probation from my comments section! LOL Hahahaha
Rest In peace Paul Di'Anno, gone way too soon 😢. Great video btw guys, I pretty much agree with your opinions but gotta say that while this is a very forgettable album this is almost a masterpiece compared to almost any album afterwards 😂. I will have to have another listen, also Weekend Warrior, I can't stand Football so 😂😂yeah I dont like that song either. And lastly I busted a gut laughing when you mentioned the bit when Bruce said Fuck or something on that live album for some reason, then again I am extremely easily amused😂 great video guys
Yes, RIP Paul! Gone way too soon! Ha! I did not know Weekend Warrior was about Football... but I think you told me that once and I forgot :) LOL Yeah, Bruce's "fuck" statement on the live album was easily the ONLY thing I remember from it... LOL
I just re-listened to weekend warrior. Without listening to the rest of the album…its not bad. I actually could see Winger doing a decent cover of it…😂.
Congrats to the Vinyl Draw winner @sador42

Keith, when you are right... you are right! :)
How dare you not give the song Fear Of The Dark a 10/10, you are now on probation.

I think this album has 6 decent songs and 6 filler. Well done boys.
Hehehehe thanks! I noticed you did not use the word 'great' in your statement... so we are in line I guess! :)
@@offthecharts2272 I would say...3 great songs? Strangers, Dark, and Quick. In my humble opinion. Maybe. LOL
@@GrabAStackofRocK 😂😂🙄. I was convinced…. Until you added the “Maybe”. 😂😂

@@offthecharts2272yeah…if you listen to who’s the one,,, the guitar intro is similar…and just imaging kips smoother voice …many it would be killer 😂
@@jjesmer ok that part I get.. yes similar to Who’s the One….
