- We're after deer with a carving knife in this week's episode. Chef Pascal wants to shoot and cook a Chinese water deer, and he goes out with deer manager Paul Childerley to do just that. Meanwhile, Fieldsports Nation member Mark Singlehurst has had to pause his catering business during lockdown and, instead, has opened a gunshop. He goes out for a roebuck. That's not all. The range in Eskdalemuir is absolutely fantastic. Mark and his team run a tight ship regarding the overall safety at the range. I have used it on multiple occasions and it is highly recommended.

Altering the present red deer shooting arrangements in Scotland. Would be a very bad idea, putting it mildly. Just keep the seasons as they are now.

Again, thank you for such a comprehensive news episode. Quite a depressing range of assaults currently being directed upon hunting and deer stalking. Very worrying about the potential fall out from many of the 'initiatives' that David covered this week.

Yes I do all my powder dust for my seasoning including Wild garlic! Dry it at 65-70oc for 24hours until no moisture then blitz to powder . Keep it in jar up to 1 years! Mixed with salt etc for your seasoning . Truly wild delicious 😉😋👍 @fieldsportchannel

Can Americans stalk game in Uk? Can we use our own rifles or would it be better to use the Game Keeper’s rifle.
Anyone can hunt in the UK and you can use your own rifle, as long as they are not semi-auto fullbore. Some airlines don't carry guns (who knew it's so easy to break into the hold and open luggage during a flight?). Best is to contact the agent for the hunt you like on Fieldsports Channel and get in touch. Wherever we can, we put their contact details in the description. / Charlie
