This is what I like to see, real food made from scratch,...instead of lazy people just opening a box and bunging stuff in the oven or microwave..well done Andy a nice home cooked meal.
Looks bloody lovely mate, thanks for sharing. I'm veggie now but liver brings me right back to my childhood - delicious! Hope you and the Missus are well.
That looks amazing Andy. I love Lambs liver, my Mum used to feed it us when I lived at home. And they don't sell it at Aldi do they? I love pies but i'm put off making one at home because I thought I wouldn't be able to do it, but your rough & ready style has inspired me Andy and i'm going to have a go at that recipe!
😂😂 definitely my pies don’t look pretty but they taste good, yeah unfortunately Aldi don’t sell liver (well I’ve never seen it in Aldi) yeah any Butcher it’s fairly cheap 👍
I love your hearty cooking Andy. I like liver but never had it in a pie before. Looks lovely winter comforting food. Looks classic cooking, is it self taught, or you learned from your mother/grandmother?
It's the type of food we all love. We are all a bit Wagu by happy for my liking! These classics are tried and tested for many years. Cheaper cuts of meat offal are fantastic. @@fatandy
I try to have Liver at least once a week due to its health benefits as I have to go for a quarterly B12 injection, never tried it in a pie, will give it a go now though. Folks tend to underestimate liver, and is one of the rare foods than can be actually cheaper fresh from your local butcher than bought from a supermarket. I normally buy enough for two from the butchers, and is under £2, with a few bits left over as a treat for the dog too. Thanks Andy. Tony.
The ingredients are not for me personally, Andy but there is nothing better than a proper home made pie with mash! My husband adds mustard to mashed potato and it's very nice if you haven't tried it👍
I’m sorry Andy no boiled liver, or bacon for me. I love liver, but it must be sautéed in butter, till it’s a nice rosy pink inside, I can’t stand when it’s over cooked, and then it gets very strong tasting, and grainy in texture. I think overcooking is the reason so many people don’t enjoy it. Here most liver is beef, calves, or chicken, you can get pigs liver in Chinese supermarkets. My Mother, I think was different to most British people she really never cooked her meats very much, always rare beef, and lamb, only thing she overcooked was vegetables, which I never ate as a child, though I did eat salad. Now vegetables are a very big part of my diet, since I cook them myself.😊
andy bud...that looks sensational mate....a real throw back to when i was a young teen lad in aberdeen...you should buy an old food truck pal,do it up and at a weekend launch andys comfort food somewhere and your followers close to home would flock to it...btw the amount of "rights" in this video must be an all time record 😂
Not a fan of Liver in any form, but as far as a pie is concerned, it must always be shortcrust! Infact if i was PM i would make it law any pie with a Puff pastry top, would automatically put the Pie maker in jail for a minimum of 5 years! Sausage Roll = Puff Pasty = Puff Pie = Short Crust! (Buttery and crumbly goodness) Pork Pie = Hot water crust. This new idea of Puff pastry on top of a pie is not for me, it may not be new but to us up north it most defiantly is! I mean we are only just putting toilettes inside the house FFS
Have you seen beef bacon? Simon Howie does a range of beef bacon and omg you will never want pork bacon again. Would love to see one of the food review chaps give it a review. Personally hate liver so I take a supplement that’s made up of freeze dried liver and kidney 😊

Hi Janet don’t mind beef medium rare but the rest of the meat for my liking needs to be well cooked, but might just be me 😂👍

I have tried beef bacon, but I think it’s awful, but you, and I don’t have the same tastes as I love liver, and kidneys, heart too.😊
Hey Two Sheds I like your down to earth cooking…. Brilliant! Winter warmer? You’ve already got plenty of lagging our kid 😂❤

Why not mute the part with the induction hob, and do a voice over.😉
Yeah could do 👍
Did you liver to eat bacon even though it's a bit of a pig and, hope onions don't get under your skin?!
