On Expiry day, suppose I sold an call option at any price in morning time, okkay...
So as you know, on the expiry day, near the end of market time, call option price is nearly zero... I am talking about indices option trading right... So doesn't matter on which price we sold it, and now on market closing time that option is similar to zero... So can we square off on that price, I mean as on 0.05 rs or something like that...????

@@tradekings5433 I feel like nobody ever mentions the most important aspect of generational wealth building. You have to be able to protect your investment. Don’t buy it if you may, at some point, be forced to sell it. You HAVE to be able to exit on your terms.
@@Robertgriffinne Starting out with a with a professional that knows the ropes of the choppy but profitable market is the best way to achieve getting a well structured portfolio. That’s why I have been working with ‘Susan Agnes Hancock’ and that doesn’t make me daft because in financial dealings one have to be prudent. Most traders enter exit with a quick 10% profit which is not bad in a general opinion but why not aim higher, it doesn’t necessarily mean to be greedy.

A few are, maybe, but on balance, I think people are much better off buying a cross-section of America and just forgetting about it" In Other words, you need expert hands to be able to outperform the index.
I wasn't financial free until my 40’s and I’m still in my 40’s, bought my third house already, earn on a monthly through passive income, and got 4 out of 5 goals, just hope it encourages someone that it doesn’t matter if you don’t have any of them right now, you can start TODAY regardless your age INVEST and change your future! Investing in the financial market is a grand choice I made.

Guys, I have cracked it. Lets take a simple example:
1.) Suppose there are 3 friends... Rancho, Farhan and Raju.
2.) Raju has a phone for Rs. 10,000.
3.) Rancho goes to Farhan and tells him, "Hey Farhan, 10,000 mein phone chaiye kya?"
4.) Farhan says, "Haan bhai. Paise le aur phone de."
5.) Rancho goes to Raju and says, "Bhai phone de na thode der keliye box wox ke sath. Kal laake deta hun."
6.) Raju gives the phone to Rancho and Rancho goes and sells the phone to Farhan for 10,000. 10k in Rancho's account and phone is with Farhan.
7.) Before the day ends, Rancho goes back to Farhan and says, "Yaar iska price ab girne wala hai bohot."
8.) Farhan says, "Kya baat karra hai yaar? Aur girega? Abhi toh lia tha."
9.) Rancho says, "Bhai 0 ho jayega is weekend tak. Ek kaam kar, merko abhi hi bech de Rs. 8000 mein."
10.) Farhan gives Rancho the phone and Rancho pays him only Rs. 8000.
11.) But Rancho initially had got 10,000 for it. Hence, Rs. 2000 is still in his account and the phone is with him as well.
12.) Rancho now goes to Raju and gives him back his phone. "Thanks yaar Raju. Achha phone hai. Rakh le tu hi."
In short, this happens with shares as well. You take someone else's shares and sell it someone at a higher price and then once its price falls, you buy it back from whom you sold it to and give back the shares to the original custodian, thereby earning a small profit margin in the midst.
Hope this made it clear. I hope I am right here as per my understanding. :)

In Bullish intraday transaction I am investing 10000k rs and selling at 12000 rs which means I got the profit of 2000 rs but the investment amount was mine hence I can say that I added some profit to my initial investment.
Here in short selling I sold the shares for 10000k and bought it back in 8000k. Since I was selling it initially I didn't have to invest but when buying back I had to pay 8000k which were from my pockets. So how exactly I can consider this as profit? Thanks!

For those confused after seeing the Gamestock Shortselling news, just know that USA does not have MIS. Unlike India, they are not forced to sell/payback on the same day, however they have to pay a small % of interest for every day they keep the stocks. The hedge companies had borrowed the stocks and planned to keep it for few days, before planning to sell when Gamestock is almost bankrupt. The reddit people at r/Wallstreetbetssay saw this, decided they will do something about it, and started buying GameStop shared to raise its price (they did it mainly because they hate Hedge Fund billionaires who do this trick repeatedly, ruining the lives of millions of people). Now those Hedgefund companies are in big trouble as they have to pay back those stocks at a high price /a big loss.

The MIS point indeed is helpful. But I just read, they still have to have a Margin A/C to short sell.

The most important thing this person forgets to mention is ....in normal buy sell the trader can loose only his money 100% ...that is buy a share for 15 rs...if t goes to zero ..he only loses 15 rs per share that's all. Because the stock price can not go below zero on a normal buy sell trade. ..but in a short sell ..if she sells a share at 15 rs first....then the stock can rise up to any number on same day ...say 45 rupees ...then the loss is 30 rs on a 15 rs share . This is theoretically and practically possible in an auction sale and this is dangerous. The potential for loss in a short sell is very high...higher than the stock price itself.

@@7srider ...no . Stop loss should be in mind only . Not to be kept in system. Because these small brokers (who give free trading or less charge ) sell the stoploss data to big traders ...who do stoploss hunting on your orders and retail traders loose. So never keep stoploss in system and keep in mind and execute that stop loss order if the price goes there.
How much marin amount is required for MIS ?...means how much should i deposit to our broker for MIS ?

She is hiding the most important danger in a short selling that is the potential for loss very unlimited if the price keep going up ..but in normal buy sell ..the potential for loss only Upton the price of the share as share price while going down will not go below zero.

@@poza55555 you don't pay when you sell i.e when you actually short a share. You pay when you buy back that same share at a lower price. The difference in the amount you get after shorting and you pay after buying in at the lower price is your Profit. Hope this helps.

I’ve seen just how lucrative just investing in the stock market can be, I’ve successfully explored and made passive income from it, still got my eyes fixed on actually trading stocks, seems to be more lucrative than just investing.
Investing and trading goes hand in had but I’ll rather stick to investing. Traders just throw money away.

I make more way more money as a trader, I’m sure the patience to save money for investment and the patience for trading is different. also the skill set required can either bring you losses or profits, you can either do it right or fail at it.

Options trading is a very good means to realize huge returns within a short period but it is also associated with high risks and the ability for traders to eliminate this risks gives them a better chance of winning. Its one reason opted for an expert Frost Hilda who’s helped invest into key stocks that has generated massive gains and with Frost at the helms of affairs of my trade, there’s been consistent increase in my annual returns.
I only think long-term benefits, not just short-term losses or profits. I made the most profit staying invested long-term, through good times and bad.

Risk in short selling is very high compared to normal buying and hence people new to the market should avoid it unless they have gained sufficient knowledge.
Just think of short selling as opposite of normal buying.
In normal buying, say you bought a share for Rs.100, the maximum you can loose is 100% and maximum you can gain is infinte(since stock can go up to any amount ideally).
In short selling, its the exact opposite. You get a share at Rs100, the maximum profit you will be able to make is 200%(if the stock goes to 0, new buy price=0, hence profit =Rs100) BUT the maximum loss you can incur is Infinite(if stock goes up in price infinitely).

Excellent advice, since I got to understand how trading works better. I follow Mrs Bonita Mollet's rules and this has worked amazing for me. Diversify, dollar or pounds cost averaging investing method, portfolio re-balance every quarter and I've found a mix of managed and index funds has worked out the best for me

Mam, one more point to add that in short selling or intra day transaction both buy-sell orders must b placed on same exchange i.e. either BSE/NSE. Else both order will be consider as normal delivery order and can cause huge liability. I had done this mistake few years before.
It's important for trader to have patience and maintain a positive attitude focused on learning and also test, develop and optimize your trading system to make it profitable.
Traders should avoid trading in markets they do not fully understand to avoid trading when the market is too volatile for their trading plan.
The stock market holds a lot of benefits but i think it's quite difficult to earn some good trading profits.
