MHJ may not have said anything publicly against BTS/BH (lately) but she DID plant the seeds of rumour and harassment very early on; and you can’t convince me she’s not behind all these malicious rumours cropping up on socmed recently! She’s behind it!
I agree! I thought from the start she was behind the rumor ARMY collaborating with STAYS to hack and harass that pap from the MET Gala(it wasn’t even him) and the funeral flowers at HYBE. IMO

Her words and statements are def the cause of it, BUT she did not tell anyone to go to media, nor did she directly instigate the funeral flowers or any of it. She would have to direct people, given them instructions on what specific steps to take for it to be a case against her. She did not do that so no case on that front. Those misinformed ARMY and others acted on their own.
Did she plant stories in the media? I haven't seen evidence of that, and media won't give up their sources, The press conference she held ; that is her directly running her mouth to media, so there might be a case to be made there, but until all court docs are released we have no way of knowing.
@@LPnerd We may not have ‘proof’ she’s been behind all of it, but how much of a coincidence is it that it all started AFTER she held her press conference? As is the case in North America, it is easy to plant a rumour in the media and stay ‘anonymous’; also, much of the media has had it in for BH/Hybe since the day they became a label - they were always working in tandem with the big 3 to take them down; so it’s not a stretch to believe that it’s happening now…but with MHJ feeding them and them not divulging the source of the crap they’re printing right now.

She doesn't own the intellectual property for hanboks or straight hair or brand deals or even the steps in the choreography. She was so busy with her public opinion war she forgot about the legal one. And she name dropped the group. Actually several. Even the ones she now accused of Music hoarding

This whole situation isn't about plagiarism MHJ is deflecting because she got caught with her hand in the cookie jar. Instead of accepting responsibility she decided to tear down the whole company by involving other groups under the HYBE umbrella. She some how convinced NewJeans and their parents to join her crusade that will end at the unemployment line for all of them.

After she tried to persuade two investors into her filthy game, and both reported it to Hybe, Hybe started investigating and obtained A LOT of evidence damaging her...This is why she went to public, to manipulate public opinion to cover her dirty deeds driven by her enormous greed and corrupted type of personality. God help us. With Hybe united we stand.

I think that was the plan but she had to step up about it because HYBE attacked first having noticed what she is doing/planing to do.
Now the time goes too fast for her to win.
HYBE was never going to give in because they can't afford to as the loss of believability would be damaging to them and their other artists.

And it seems to me that after realising how is MHJ plotting against company and BSH, they decided they won't let her plan go as she planned it. What is interesting to me is that two investors that she tried to pull into her plot immediately went to report it to Hybe. In business you grab opportunity if it is a good one. But it seems to me that they either evaluated her plan as unrealistic or just didn't LIKE MHJ's attitude, or maybe even they doubled her sanity. Because look who we are dealing with, among other things. Woman wanted to give authority of managerial decisions to special "adviser" that would go through shamanic process of replacing his soul for soul of her dead sister. Creepy. This is, if we use christian terminology, form of satanism. And woman regularly went through similar satanists rituals to guide her and empower her in her dark deeds. If all this is true, and it seems it is no matter how crazy this sounds, then MHJ has serious mental problems imho. Waging black magic against your opponent (Hybe, but don't forget - also against BTS!) - geez, this woman is half insane if you ask me. If I was NJ, I'd run for life away from her.

I used to work in western music industry and I so appreciate how fans as seeking out information to better educate themselves on various areas within the music industry 💜Thank you so much for your videos AND (side note) Thank you for including that clip of TLC doing the dance “cat daddy” that was also done by NewJeans…. TLC popularized so many dances and set trends that are still relevant today and influenced so many artists that makes MHJ claim of anyone plagiarizing her laughable.
I really hope HYBE is successful in all their legal actions against MHJ and all those who aided her.
greed never moves a culture or a person forward. without a doubt, what moved kpop;kdrama; interest in South Korea into a whole movement (Hallyu) was BTS. and those 7 boys to men

Only in Asia really. as K pop is not really as popular as people try to make it here. Black Pink shot themselves in the foot with too many really bad performances, and so have some of the other groups. Also, BTS is not K pop. The only really songs that even fit are the two written in English. LOL Other wise they are stand alone BTS. Just like the Beatles were in the 60's and 70's.

I think whether the SK public sides with her or not is immaterial if an investigation proves the criminal allegations to be true.

Even if MHJ will not be found guilty of any allegations about plagiarism, she opened the Pandora Box on her head. Before she started the media scandal, MHJ was known in k-pop as a "genius content creator", that's why she was so bold even with BSH and HYBE.
When MHJ opened the box she "created" a butterfly effect and now the tsunami will wash her out from boldness and arrogance, because people all over the world can see MHJ true colour.
Any art creator can be inspired by others, and can create art with his own touch, but to claim that you are the owner and no one can be inspired by your work is the supreme arrogance you can show in public.
Maybe it is time for MHJ to sit down on herself and think how she can not harm herself more than she did when she started to hate everyone as being her enemies. It's look like MHJ is her personal greatest enemy.
Love this! First off Karma is an Army. Involving BTS put the universe against her. Secondly, I love how we are clearly seeing her only genius is seeing what others outside of Korea are doing and copying that! She could have kept her reign as a K-POP Creative Genius, if only she would have just shut up and been appreciative for what she was given. I didn't know about her before the mess press conference she put on scene with her homeless appearance, but the comments were "she is a genius, her genius artistry, the kpop genius...", and actually that annoyed me, because outside of kpop there are similar geniuses that inspired MHJ.
Let hope NJ will be saved by HYBE and the girls will have some support for their mental stress, that their other" mother" induced them after dragged them in a war between two companies.
@@andieherbert118 I agree with you, and I feel badly for New Jeans. No one seems to be picking on them too much, however, some of the younger ones parents opened their mouths. They might have been coached to do so. If they came out in support of Min, or had previous knowledge of her plans, and chose to back her, that could be a problem. NO company will touch those girls if their parents had knowledge of takeover plan and agreed to it. In fact, the only company that could save them now is Big Hit, and I doubt they can because of the strict No girls and boys together societal norms in Korea. This is just a somewhat educated guess on my part, but I'm old, with nothing to do but research.

@@FaruqueLMSI see so planning a takeover is just internal business, ok. The audit was conducted because a whistleblower informed Hybe of her plans. Hybe was justified in investigating the claim by doing an audit, which is conducted by an outside firm. MHJ was not compliant with the audit by refusing to hand over her work laptop even though she was offered a new one and the opportunity to transfer any work related things, she still refused, why. Do not tell me it was her right because it was not as it was a work laptop and not hers. In an audit it is required by the auditors. She had already complained about BeLift and Ilet at that time which was looked into and found that there was no plagiarism. At the conference she did not answer any questions re the audit etc just complained how she was not supported by Hybe and they had let them down. Again with the injunction the evidence she has brought forward is again about New Jeans and Ilet and her plagiarised intellectual property, (which has now been proven not to be) and how all her jokes about New Jeans being fat and lazy have also been taken out of content as is of course the innocent dinners with investors. All have been misunderstood. I personally and I can be wrong do not think that will sway the judges into giving her an injunction so therefore it will by bye on the 31st. If she was innocent than she should have complied with the audit and everything would have been cleared, then it would be purely internal business the dispute between BeLift and Ador!
@@FaruqueLMS Motherf- I don't know how many times I will have to repeat this. Hybe, being a publicly traded company, is legally required to announce when audits are conducted for the benefit of their shareholders. This is why the audit was announced.
And the only reason I even know about this whole scandal is because of that dumpster fire of a press conference that MHJ did. She is the one who put this on a global scale.

I think the key is heavily investigating and going at that one nasty journalist to the point where you can pressure him into a deal where he divulges who is paying him for his targeting. I'd normally say they'd be quiet due to professional integrity of protecting sources, but let's face it, that guy is a true bottom-feeder, so I doubt that would relate to him. But to me, making that connection from MHJ (or someone on her team) and that guy is important.
I know Min Hee Jin is rich, but I hope she doesn't have that much liquid cash and HYBE files so many long lawsuits to drain her account. I hope the computer and her press conference and wild yapping gave them ammo for years to come. I hope when this is no longer an interest to the public years later, they are still suing her. The more cases pile up, the more her lawyer fees multiply. Hopefully they will win cases too and make her pay for damages.

actually, the case of belift versus min heejin is a good thing. it would finally settle, once and for all, what "plagiarism" is, and stop brainless haters and antifans from indiscriminately attacking kpop artists. it would be interesting to see though, if the courts rule in favor of belift, does that mean all the haters and antifans who attacked illit and belift online can be also sued for defamation? and all the social media outlets and news organizations that also posted "plagiarism" headlines and articles be held liable for defamation as well? the fallout would be tremendous!

Min Hee-Jin had a great thing going. She is or was ceo and newjeans was doing great. Had 18% in ador. What more you can asked? Her narcissistic behavior blew it up for everyone around her including herself. I,m just so mad with the whole situation. I only like very few girl groups and newjeans is one of them. Hybe gave her everything she asked, but Min Hee-Jin wanted more. She thought hybe was going to cave and give in. She thought she was high and mighting until hybe showed her the door.

internal issues against MHJ arose because she got caught. she was the one who made it into a big issue by going public and holding that press conference that only did more damage to her, if anything at all. it was so obvious in both her lawyer's faces. the way MHJ also keeps dragging New Jeans into the picture is deplorable. but karma works fast, and it will continue to work against her because of all the falsities she's been coming up with and the people she is hurting. she's basically digging her own grave.
She didn't drag just NJ in her mud, she did much worse with BTS, ILLIT and Le Serrafim. Whily Hybe gaces investigation about alleged manipulation of music chart (which I believe is a lie as everything that came from MHJ's mouth so far), MHJ will be responding at least for ILLIT. I hope that also BigHit sues her for defamation and harm and false accusations un case of BTS, and also that what's Le Serrafim's company - Source? suits her. Fashion, Choreography, Dance moves, performances, food recipies are generic which cannot either be patented or copyrighted. There are also work of art which cannot be subject of plagiarism like cultural, traditional, classic work of arts of more than 20 years, especially if they are used as inspiration or muse of the creator.
Source music should the same too for defaming Le sserafim. Mhj dragged Le sserafim even when they have no direct relation in this feud just because they debuted before Nj.....Mhj should be sued left and right.

It's not. Someone submitted a petition... the government said they would look at the petition. That's all. There is no active investigation. Just the other day they said other groups should be more authentic like BTS.
I understand that any time a complaint is submitted, there needs to be follow up. HOWEVER, revoking their cultural merit award due to an issue that was resolved years ago is hate based. The list of what BTS has done for their country is incredible.
Yes, someone submitted a complaint to revive that issue. The Ministry of culture did receive the complaint but did not say they will investigate it. There's only one article that's used as reference by media sites (I forgot the name of the journalist, he was shady af). It was just out of the blue and guess who jump on the hate train? ---Exols, who made a petition to the Blue House in 2017 to abolish MAMA because BTS won. And surprise, surprise, who was the creative director of exo? --- MHJ. Yeah, I bet she has something to do with it. Bec of what she said, the hate shifted to BTS. I just hope Bighit Music will sue her ass after this. That vile woman deserves jail time.

For me, that is not enough reason. The "can you crash Aespa?" is something you always hear in a competitive industry like Kpop, sports, business, etc. The big 3 companies have been openly trying to beat BTS and subtly downplaying their success. The group Jeans responded with a big hearted "good to see the 90s come back in style".....the group Jeans disbanded in 2008. I found this video very confusing for two reasons. First, when you discussed defamation, it wasn't clear if you were specifically referencing SK law. My understanding is that in SK, defamation is much easier to prove than in countries like the US. It would have been helpful if you mentioned whether the criteria you listed apply to SK. Second, I found your discussion of plagiarism confusing because plagiarism is not a legal term, at least in the US. I believe that in a previous video you discussed the 3 main types of intellectual property: copyright, trademarks, and trade secrets. SK is signatory to the Berne Convention which means they recognize these types of IP. I'm not sure if your discussion of plagiarism was meant to refer to copyright vs. trademarks at various points. I think that distinguishing between legally protected forms of IP would be helpful to your viewers. Hi, Could you please do a video explaining how stocks work and what BTS has stocks in. Everything I have read indicates BTS members stock is in Hybe. The only difference is they now have voting rights as shareholders. My understanding is previously BTS voting rights were handled by PD Bang. Fans think BTS have nothing to lose if Hybe's stocks go down or the company folds but I don't agree. It was actually mentioned indirectly during a live in LA (I believe) during the PTD tour. Yes their case is weaker because the plan had not been carried through but if there is sufficient evidence to indicate that she has been actively sourcing investors then Hybe’s case would be stronger. The balance of evidence is something that must have been weighed before taking legal action so they must think that 5hey stand a chance of winning.
That's possible but it's also possible that Hybe has bigger evidence of actions taken and they are not revealing it, saving it for the courts. Like everyone was surprised when Hybe revealed that MHJ met with Naver & Dumanu reps because the reps themselves contacted Hybe to let them know cuz they didn't want to be in legal trouble as they knew it wasn't right. We don't know what MHJ said or even if she emailed them prior or after the meeting etc. We also don't know if Hybe has evidence of a money trail for other steps that were laid out in her plan. Frankly, I hope they have a wealth of damning hard evidence because this woman doesn't deserve to ever work in the kpop industry or around idols ever again. People like this are a cancer that has infected that industry for so long, kids join because they have a dream and people like MHJ take advantage of them using them as pawns in their own greed they chew them us & spit them out. The Mexican girl group Jeans would not have a case against Ador. A group's name can be Trademarked, not copyrighted. The Jeans trademark expired so it can't be considered infringement. Ador owns the trademark New Jeans right now. The other aspects: concepts, style, etc, are not protected by law as you mentioned and thus can not be plagiarized. New Jeans may have copied the Jeans concept and Illit may have copied New Jeans' concept. It is perfectly legal to do that. The problem is people use the term "plagiarism" to freely. Plagiarism is a legally defined act. I expect Belift Lab's defamation case against MHJ will also be dismissed. Otherwise, many netizens should panic since they could be sued for defamation every time they use the "plagiarism" charge.
I would say that there is a big difference if a 14 year old Indian girl complains on the Internet about the plagiarism of Illit or if the creative director of NewJeans who is also the CEO of the label does it, in a press conference.

If the South Korean court finds that a claim of plagiarism may constitute defamation than anyone who claims plagiarism can be sued by the alleged "plagiarizer" for defamation. It doesn't mean they will be found guilty of defamation; it means that a charge of defamation can be more easily brought to court. Note: this would be only applicable to people within South Korea's jurisdiction. Indian girls will be safe; South Korean girls not so much.

Not a lawyear but here the problems in in the case of Be Lift
1. The issue of plagiarism was raised by the parents not MHJ, not to mention intially MHJ wanted an internal investigation to solve this internally. It was HYBE that made the issue public. So you cannot accuse her of trying to harm Be lift.
2. Blaming MHJ for ILLIT members suffering is simply guilt by association. She never said the ILLIT members are guilty of anything and she tried to solve this internally. If internet trolls are making an issue that has nothing to do with her. So this cannot be used to prove harm since you cannot prove she indented to harm them. If I was a judge I wouldn't take their case seriously considering the context.
3. The NJ members are also suffering & HYBE is responsible for this whole mess. So they did harm NJ, so MHJ can also make a case against them as well on slander against her and her company. As a matter of fact this is what she should have done from the very beginning.
