MrBeast is one of the most ambitious and prolific creators on TH-cam. He's counted to 100,000. He's eaten pizza made of gold. He buried himself underground for 50 hours. While these stunts are flamboyant and extraordinary, they aren't without their risks. Today I decided to take a look at some of Beast's greatest hits and assess the often significant health complications associated.

Jimmy actually explained this during a Podcast/Interview. He said that prior to the challenge he slept in a coffin for a few nights to get used too it. He said he had his team practice burying and digging up the Coffin, i think he said if he genuinely needed to get out they could get him out in 3 minutes.
There was apparently a Medical team on stand by throughout the entire video, and they did radio checks in with him every hour, he said if they ever dialed him with the Talkie. And he didn’t answer they would immediately dig him up.

My immunology professor in college actually donated 60% of her liver as she wound up a match for her alcoholic brother who was on the literal verge of death, without the transplant. They will both end up with 100% of a liver after they finish regenerating which is pretty cool, and also pretty bizarre to think about! She ended up saving his life, and she said she would do it again in a heartbeat if able!

@Shaun The Good Doctor i think the professor was a little more empathetic than that (the guy being her brother and all) and didn't think "well he'll start drinking again anyway so I should just let him die." Again, she and her doctor knew her brother better than a rando in the youtube comments.

@@purplewine7362 Here in india, for a liver transplant to happen the patients have to undergo no alcohol for atleast 6months as part of treatment as well as to ensure they don't damage somebody's liver too. They are not allowed a transplant of alcohol is found in their blood anytime during this 6 months and they have to wait another 6months. Pretty sure they'll be having such measures in the US.

Back in my competitive simracing days, I had a friend whose shoulder was like... very prone to dislocating due to how stretched the things holding it in were, he had an operation, it helped short term a bit. The guy told me that at the point where he was, it doesnt hurt anymore, its just uncomfortable. He literally dislocated his shoulder by sneezing once... the best part is that he was still a great driver

My dad actually got a pressure or bed sore. Depends on what you want to call it. But he is currently not able to move almost at all by himself because he od and now has anoxic brain damage. The nursing home he was at was not turning him enough and didn’t have him on the right bed. The sore was so bad after a month it was down to the bone. It was on his lower back and if you looked into the whole you could actually see his bone. It was very scary and I refused to see it even in a picture. I accidentally saw it on my moms phone and I gave her the phone back very quickly. It was horrible to look at and to think the pain he was in from people just not caring enough. They also would refuse to show my mom this wound. She didn’t see it till he was admitted to the er. The people weren’t doing anything. He’s scalp was so built up (dandruff) the second you touched his hair you felt it. A multiple other things like old blood on the floor and open needles on tables. They weren’t cleaning the outside of his trachea right. Me and my mom had to do that. At one point in a different place his gown and pillow next to his stomach area was covered in what looked like feces. My mom had to get someone to come do it and empty his catheter bag that was almost overflowing. Not to mention that they didn’t check his catheter enough and he had a blockage. For hours! His heart rate and blood pressure shot up since he can’t speak and they left him like that for almost 2 hours. When they finally took the catheter out his pee shot across the room. He was finally admitted to the er (like I mentioned earlier) my dad has been through so much I’m guessing because they thought since he can’t talk we won’t know. My mom has fought so hard for him. Even though they divorced 5 years before this happened she is still by his bed side. That morning she knew she gave us a choice to see him or not and you could just see she was trying so hard not to break. My dad had been on dr*gs for a while before he od and we always talked about how he was probably going to od because he had so little care for life. And she was so scared our guess of what would kill my dad came true. My dad is now recovering so well. We got him a phone set to auto answer a ft so we can see him whenever. He looks so much better. He’s slowly being able to move his arms and head. He has said my nickname which is lala so many times. When he says it he looks so proud of himself and just starts repeating over and over. We are bringing him home soon. Me and my mom are trained. We can both change his trachea. His food and give him meds. I’m so proud of him. Being 14 and having to deal with this is not easy but seeing my dad slowly be MY DAD again makes it worth it!

It is technically legal but the prices are so low that nobody is willing to sell their organs.
The idea behind making it legal was to prevent a black market forming for body parts and if you think of it, it’s pretty genius.
Although it is not like you can just hand out your organs to random people, only 30% of liver, one kidney and 2 grams of bone marrow can be donated or sold by alive people and organs from dead people can’t be sold.
The whole process should be done by the “Iranian society of organ donation” and closely tracked by authorities. And it takes several months to prevent people selling organs for quick money.
And only scientist and people that have medical files approved by the “ISOD” which show they are desperately in need of organ transplants can purchase organs.

Just recently I started working 6 days a week with 3 of them being double shifts, and our entire staff has started developing skin problems due to a slight shift in the chemical balance in the water. Thankfully the problem has been fixed and we've found methods to help with the drying and rashes on our skin.

For the under water one, my main concern is without a regulator and pressurized air bottles it's possible that the vast majority of the gasses in there will become co2 and nitrogen as it's possible for some the air being added to just bubble out from the bottom decreasing the oxygen concentration leading to co2 and or nitrogen poisoning. Probably one of the most dangerous stunts he has done especially without monitoring equipment in there with him. It would be impossible for him to determine if he was getting nitrogen narcosis until he drowned as it feels like being drunk but is much more subtle than the effects of alcohol

TeamSeas on the other side is an official, registered charity and they explain very clearly on their web page what they're going to do with the money.

Please review some medical documentaries. It would be fascinating to hear your expert opinion on real life scenarios. A British show called 24 Hours in A&E would be a good choice.

@@foty8679 while he may not be an ‘expert’, hes spent time in the er (same as a&e just for clarification) so he would be able to give further information, personal experiences etc while watching the show, as he usually does. To be honest I think if he were to watch it, the most interesting thing would be seeing how treatment varies in the uk vs the us.

Pediatric liver transplantation can be done by removing a portion (left lobe), of a donor with the same blood type. They look at the size of the donors liver and the size of the pediatric patient as well.
The left lobe of the liver will grow in the pediatric patient, and the left lobe will regenerate in the donor patient. It's pretty cool.

Like many sports competitive eaters TRAINS before every major event, they also diet before the event, they also don't eat like that on every meal, they also have an intensive training and resting sessions after a contest to digest and properly remove all the waste they consumed in one eating.
think of competitive eating like any other sport. and it will make sense

That’s a half marathon which still isn’t good with no grabbing but it’s not as bad as a full marathon 26 miles (42.2 km)

The best thing that the people did at the place I used to get frequent MRIs - for claustrophobic people - was they put an angled mirror above your face so you can see through an open glass window and not at this machine a few inches from your face making loud noises. It helped so much for me rather than just closing my eyes and listening to music.

I was taught in the 90s that it was a form of not necessarily dehydration, but that are skin wrinkled, because when you’re in a larger volume of water than yourself, it drew out the water in your body through osmosis. it wasn’t until about 30 years later that I heard that it was an adaptation for gripping. That sent me down a rabbit hole of research just to make sure the stuff I was taught when I was a kid by teachers was actually incorrect. Lol but almost 40 now and I’m hoping, I at least have this one right now
