Thanks brotha. Kinda inconvenient. I’ve asked around and found that some other people had some similar inconsistencies when they received their kits too. I was lucky that I was able to make some adjustments on the fly and find temporary replacements for the time being. Pro charger customer service is pretty good though. After contacting them, they were quick to address the issue and work with me on getting the parts shipped over to me. Good on them.
It’s definitely a lot louder at idle and lower RPM. Under boost it gets a little quieter.. or the exhaust kinda drowns out the whistle. But you definitely feel the power for sure. Feels like driving stock plus some now, even with the 40s.
The one thing you should not have done is disconnect the lidar sensor on the bumper. You have to get that recalibrated once you do. Let that hang next time. Its only 3 screws holding it on.
If you get the complete kit it’ll come with a tune and a VF tuner. If you get the tuner kit, it only comes with the parts and tuning is your responsibility
@@LuauTaco it’s very simple , so the GRAY PLUG IN under the Vehicle on the left side, you take off the wire wrap to show the wires and there will be a pink one , only one , cut it, the blue wire connects to the PLUG IN SIDE OF THE PINK WIRE, the red wire connects to the SAME PINK wire going to the control module , let me know if you hook it up!
@@LuauTaco yes the TAN wire will go to the HOBBS SWITCH , the Hobbs switch goes on the surge system, after you install the Hobbs switch and the TAN wire from the fuel booster to your Hobbs switch, the Hobbs switch will have a second hookup that one will go to your 12v battery , if you want pictures of how I did it let me know !
@@LuauTaco Not trying to throw shade at all , I love boosted engines. I've just never heard a procharger in the flesh and from the video audio just sounded like a over powering pulley squealing lol. Was just an honest question, would be interested to see how it sounds in person though. Never the less great work on the build.
@@kieranstone1136 all good brotha. Wasn’t taking it personal. The straight cut gears on these can be a little much for some people. That’s why they offer the helical gears that are quieter while it’s running. Thank you 🤙🏽
Haven’t had time to post any updates recently but definitely like it so far. I did blow the belt that came with the kit but I ended up upgrading to a HD belt and it’s been holding so far. Definitely helps pull the heavy tires and drives nice at highway speeds.
@LuauTaco quick questions do you feel your risking liability? And if you had to buy it again would you still get the procharger or supercharger? Thanks
@@drewboost2867 doing any type of big modification can make you wonder about reliability (if that’s what you meant). I would stay with pro charger. Being more that I use it for crawling, sometimes the magnuson is a little too jumpy on the throttle and can break traction
Nice Job on the install and working around missing parts and tight spaces. That pro charger whistle is 🔥🔥

What made you decide getting the pro charger instead of a magnuson supercharger? Btw thanks again for installing tires on my 13 inch wheel 🤙

I just procharged my Tacoma , mine wouldn’t turn on without the fuel booster how come yours works fine without it?
Not sure tbh. I couldn’t even figure out how the fuel pump booster was supposed to be installed

@@LuauTaco you going to get a OTT tune after breaking in?
@@hypebeast_3056 probably not. Currently they only offer the tune if you have stock cats in the truck.

in the video the high pitch squeal sounds awful.. it sounds good in person right?
That’s the sound of the pro charger with straight cut gears. If you think it sounds awful, you probably don’t like turbos lol.
