Graph is on the d3 site I believe. And yeah sure an aftermarket tune is required after already spending thousands on a kit. That's still my point. Spends thousands on a kit and then have to get a tune or spend thousands on a kit and have it be done out of the box. I personally think the Harrop also looks 100x better. Like a real supercharger but that's all personal preference. They both use eaton internals so just take your pick really.
Watching videos on Superchargers or Prochargers on Tacomas makes me wonder if it's just a better idea to Engine Swap them rather than spending 7k on a 40% increase, instead just putting in a V8 LS3 or something in it would be just a better route.
LS3 will be more fun when completed but it will take a lot more work than just slapping on a blower. Blower, smaller pulley, opening up the headers/exhaust and the OTT tune will net you similar power(maybe more) to having an LS swap for much less work.
@@GeneralShowHD ends up costing twice as much plus few will ever do it. 400whp is all you'll ever want on these trucks. An LS3 will get you around 380whp. A tuned Magnuson supercharged V6 will get you to 400whp for much less money and headache.
This will be available from d3 performance early next week. The tune is a huge difference. The transmission aspect of the tune with the Harrop is DIALED where I’ve heard a lot of negative things about the magnuson tune. This also comes with the tuner so you don’t have to wait for a tune file. One day install.
Came across this video for thought about a supercharger before but was leaning towards a pro charger just because of simplicity. The tune aspect has had me wondering though. Since jt seems they have figured out hkw to tune the trans are they able to do a tune on the trans even without a supercharger? Will have to watchmthe video again but 'tuner' domthey use? (SCT etc.)

@@sawyerheslep8493 the tune is a lot better but they’re very similar in components. Man it’s so not worth it. Spending all that money on a Tacoma for it to have less horsepower than a Nissan Maxima. Tacomas are so outdated in this generation with the old tech, dinosaur engine, etc.
That’s your opinion. I love the truck and I get to work with a ton of companies on it. I didn’t get it to have more horsepower than a maxima. It’s a go anywhere built rig not a race car. You get a maxima then you can follow me on a trail.

OTT’s tune for the Mag takes care of all the Trans shifting issues. I wanna see the graph for both and really compare numbers.

Damn, thats actually pretty big increase, more than I thought it would.
Right?! Not bad for a bolt on kit at all.
Only peak numbers? Really wanted to see a graph over lay. I will check your ig. Hopefully you have it over there
Just message me on ig and I can send a photo.

Great video. Would you be able to post one on how you installed your diode dynamics rock lights?
I don’t have one but those are super easy. Self tapping screws where you want them then run the harness they provide to your switch system
For a v6 I wouldn’t but on my tundra I would do the whipple

They use their own d3 tuner but yes you can tune the trans
Looks like around a 16% power loss at elevation so my guess is at sea level that truck should be making around 320whp.
It rips at sea level lol a whole new truck again
