I’m somewhat new to this, I’ve made about 10 stockings. I’ve yet to have the front match the back and always end up trimming the back to match. Is that normal or am I doing something wrong? Thank you

I never trim the back piece. Remember, when you first cut out the front and back pieces , they are the same size. Even if you have to piece together the front of the stocking. It still is the same size as the back. When you stitch the pieces to the front , the front will appear to shrink s bit. But , when you stitch the front and back together , that front will stretch to fit the back. Hope this helps 🙂

I just finished my first kit, it turned out very pretty, I love it, but now that I'm ready to add the back of the stocking, I noticed that the front part "shrank", not by much, I know I can cut off the extra, no big deal, but I'm wondering, did I do something wrong? Did I put too much stuffing on the stuffed pieces?, is it normal?... thank you for a great tutorial, as always👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤

Just remember, when you opens the kit… the front and back pieces were the same exact size. The front does seem to shrink as you appliqué the smaller pieces to it. Usually, you can pin the front and back together and stitch it that way and like magic … the front and back fit together again. I never cut the back piece to fit the front .
